Get ready for a blast from the past! Cameras are up for The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19, and Bravo just confirmed that Gretchen Rossi will be returning to the show over a decade after her exit. This news is so good it makes you want to get naked wasted!
This comes after Alexis Bellino announced her departure from the series following her messy feud with Shannon Beador. Let’s hope Gretchen’s return can go a little bit more smoothly than it did for Alexis.
Gretchen Rossi’s part-time role on RHOC Season 19
Of course, we first met Gretchen back in Season 4 of RHOC. That feels like a lifetime ago, but Tamra Judge asking her about a trip to Bass Lake became a franchise-defining moment. The Real Housewives has never been the same.
She eventually left RHOC after Season 8, when she popped the question to her partner Slade Smiley. They never actually got married. So, maybe they’ll finally tie the knot for the Bravo cameras in Season 19? We’ll keep our fingers crossed for that.
Keep in mind, this isn’t Gretchen’s first time stepping back into the world of Bravo. She previously filmed the Morrocco season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, so she’s easing her way back into this. While promoting that ill-fated show, she teased that some of the current RHOC cast were trying to get her to come play.
“They’d have to pay me, like, millions of dollars,” Gretchen previously said of a RHOC return. “Heather Dubrow keeps asking me to and I’m like, ‘Okay, have them call me!’”
They must have called! However, this won’t be a full-time return for Gretchen. According to a report from Variety, she’ll appear as a friend throughout Season 19. That’s not a million-dollar paycheck, but whatever it was, it must have been worth it. Welcome back, Gretchen!
