The peach-holders are back and “soft life is over” on the Season 16 trailer for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Based on the newly released first look for the latest season of RHOA, it’s a whole new Atlanta and the ladies have no apologies to give. Arguments ensue and Kenya Moore dramatically declares, “I’m twirling on my haters!” Although according to Porsha Williams, twirling down to hell is more like it.
Indeed, Porsha has officially reclaimed her peach! The trailer also features returning cast members Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi. Newbies Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley are also introduced and everyone is coming in hot.
Kenya Moore twirled on down to hell according to the RHOA Season 16 trailer, and didn’t come back!
RHOA fans knew that some changes were going to be made after Season 15 and it looks like the show is entering a new era with it’s sweet season 16. Some uncertainty lingered about the new season, but when the full cast was announced fans noted several returning faces including Porsha and Kenya (for a short while at least).
Plus, Southern Belle Phaedra Parks joins the fun later in the season for some “extra sass and spice!” Housewives fan favorite Cynthia Bailey will also appear as a friend of the ladies.
And it looks like the drama hits the ground running! Newbie Brit is in a full-on (with tears) feud with Kenya. Kenya calls Brit a “hoe” in the trailer while showing what appears to be a blown-up photo. We all know how this turned out. Kenya’s misconduct got her off the show.
As Cynthia says, “It couldn’t go any lower.” And Porsha adds about Kenya getting the ax, “That was Kenya’s choice to twirl on down to hell.” However, later on, she did say she commended Kenya for her apology and for taking accountability. Is this enough to get her back? We’ll have to wait and see.
Porsha’s got her own drama plus a girl’s trip to Grenada
Not to be outdone, Porsha also brings the drama. She starts with a big, “I’m back, baby!” But not everyone is pleased with her return. “You can be the sweetest peach in the orchard, but not everyone can handle the juice,” she explains.
Despite having two seasons off, it looks like she’s still ready to hold her own within the group of Georgia peaches because she’s “ready whenever”. However, looks like she didn’t anticipate Drew being friends with her ex Dennis McKinley, and him serving as her executive producer.
Porsha confronts her ex and Dennis asks, “You think I’m banging Drew?” to which she replies, “Yes or no?” What do you think his answer’s going to be?
For her part, Drew’s not apologizing for her latest career move. She’s got her eye on a Rolls Royce!
And of course, the trailer also shows clips from the girls’ trip to Granada. It starts off well and good, celebrating “camaraderie” and quickly devolves from there.
