Southern Charm stars Craig Conover and his buddy, Austen Kroll, are butting heads constantly. Austen complains that Craig has no time for him because he is gardening and he stopped drinking. Meanwhile, Craig is trying to live his best life, and he is done dealing with negativity from his friends. So, will these two come to a podcast compromise?
Craig Conover offers Austen Kroll a buyout for their podcast
During the most recent episode of Season 10 of Southern Charm, Craig and Austen were set to meet up. Only, unbeknownst to Austen, Shep Rose was mediating this event. So, while the trio ate dinner, Craig revealed his plan for Pillows and Beer, their podcast.
“I feel like I have a proposal with the podcast that should be pretty f*cking great. Maybe, we give you like 30 grand, but I keep ownership of it?” Craig said.
Austen looked stunned for a moment. “Oh my god. No, I wasn’t, you know, thinking about the podcast,” he responded. When Craig asked his former bestie what he wanted from him, Austen had an answer. He would like to fix their broken friendship first, and then deal with their businesses later.
Instead, Craig accused Austen of causing their troubles. “You came to my house and started this. All I’ve done is respond,” Craig stated.
However, it seems that someone else gave Craig some advice about this issue. His then-girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, also advised Craig to end the podcast.
“Pillows and Beer is your side hustle. The whole point of the podcast is to, like, put out good vibes and laugh and talk with your friend in a very real way,” she stated. “I think you two need to sit down and legit dissolve the whole thing.”
Paige added, “Like, why would you not have a podcast like ‘Craig and Friends’? You rebrand.”
Well, Craig has also moved on since Paige apparently ended their three-year relationship. He unfollowed her on Instagram. Burn! As for Austen and Craig? They opened their bar, called By The Way in December 2024. Hopefully, these gentlemen can also make some progress in their friendship.
