Dr. Heavenly Kimes wants to be on The Traitors. And not only does the Married to Medicine star want the chance to compete, but she’s confident that she’d take home the money.
Everyone and their dog wants to be on The Traitors. It might be the hottest show on reality TV right now. The simple premise, the inclusion of established stars, and the combination with everyday folks is a winning formula.
And much like us, Dr. Heavenly loves to play casting director. Who can blame her? The Traitors would be a great time for anyone. But what has her so confident that she’d do so well?
Dr. Heavenly Kimes thinks she can spot liars on Married to Medicine
Dr. Heavenly told Newsweek that she was “absolutely” interested in The Traitors, going as far as to say, “I’ll win!” What gives her so much confidence? “Liars always have a tell-tale sign,” she explained. “It’s like they forget they lied, but I don’t.”
“I don’t know why my brain works this way, but I can always remember what you said before and know that you’re lying now. I don’t remember what I’ve said, but I remember what you said.” She added, “Liars always give it away, especially the ones on our show.”
And speaking of Married to Medicine, Dr. Heavenly reflected fondly on the show, despite the difficult times she’s endured. “My husband calls it a social experiment,” she said. “We have our drama, but I love that they show the family dynamic. That’s where I shine.”
“There aren’t other shows with this many African-American professionals,” she said. “I’m a little girl from the ‘hood, from the inner city schools. If I was able to make it out, get a full scholarship at school and become a doctor, then a lot of other people can, too. I’m inspiring others to do the same.”
Married to Medicine and The Traitors are streaming on Peacock, with new episodes of the latter dropping every Thursday.
