Mary Cosby truly emerged from her shell (or the abyss of her insane closet) during Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5. We saw her be totally honest in all aspects of life, from her family struggles to her newfound friendships. Mary is clocked in and fans hope she keeps revealing more about herself.
The RHOSLC reunion was just as raw for Mary as the rest of the season. Aside from unpacking her Season 5 storylines further, Andy Cohen had some questions about things in her past. We met Mary as the First Lady of her family church in Season 1, which was a core part of her daily life. Of course, the church storyline led to quite a bit of controversy, including a few cult accusations. So it wasn’t surprising that in recent seasons, we haven’t heard a word from Mary about the church. That is until Peacock released the extended version of Part 2 of the reunion.
Mary Cosby is heading back to church
Andy asked Mary for an update on her church, which has seemingly been closed for more than two years for renovations. “Yeah, the renovations are done. It’s beautiful,” she replied. “We’ve had a couple services there, but we’re slowly getting back into it. But it’s good. It’s blessed.” So it sounds like Pastor Mary will be back to preaching soon.
Mary didn’t mention any of the controversies around her church, including some financial lawsuits that were made public last year. Regardless, it’s clear that Mary’s religion is crucial to her well-being, so it sounds like she’s back at her happy place.
Part 3 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 reunion airs Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 8/7c on Bravo.
