Erin Lichy Unsure on Brynn Whitfield’s RHONY Future: ‘It Creates Concern’

The future of any of the Season 15 cast members on The Real Housewives of New York remains unclear. Without any confirmation from the network, and Bravo actively seeking new cast members, the current stars surely have to be questioning what is next. And for Erin Lichy, that means distancing herself from Brynn Whitfield.

Watching the Season 15 reunion, it’s clear that Brynn is on the outs with the rest of her cast. The RHONY star is questioning whether they can trust her again, and denied being as close as “sisters” after the finale.

Erin Lichy “needs time” to be able to trust Brynn Whitfield again

She recently appeared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast to react to the reunion, as well as Bravo’s casting call for Season 16.

“I think it would be really hard for me to trust anything,” the real estate professional said. “How do you overlook something like the finale? You just feel as though, ‘Well, if I do something to you, you’re going to find something retaliatory that is really extreme, and I don’t know what that is and it could be something.’ Think about the level of the accusation to Ubah [Hassan] and how far-fetched it was … It creates concern.”

Ubah had a similar reaction while filming the finale. Fans will recall how Brynn claimed the professional model was aware of her assault while commenting on how Brynn got the RHONY gig. Ubah voiced her concerns as to what Brynn’s motivation was to put her in such a compromising position.

“I really truly from the bottom of my heart wish Brynn the best,” Erin told host Amanda Hirsch. “I really, really do. She’s got qualities that are incredible and she’s really intelligent and she’s very, like, charismatic and it’s a shame for someone like with all these talents to not go far in life. She could do so much. She’s incredible in a lot of ways but she’s got to own up to the things that she does to people.”

The RHONY star added, “It does pull at my heartstrings. She’s not a bad person, but I think I just need time.”

Indeed, the rest of the cast are distancing themselves from Brynn. And Erin is not aware that anyone is on speaking terms with her.

“I don’t think anyone… [Jessel Taank] is very upset with her, and you’ll see that come out at the reunion,” she concluded.
