Bob Harper, Season 3 star of The Traitors, has a new workout routine thanks to the show. In order to compete on Traitors, you have to be in top form. And this includes both mentally and physically. However, not everyone is going to be at their best, ahem, Tom Sandoval. Still, you want to aim high. Bob was put to the test during a physical challenge and pushed himself harder than he thought he could handle. It was an eye-opening experience that has since changed his workout style moving forward.
Bob Harper says he’s now “doing a lot more challenging things” for his workouts
Bob is no stranger to fitness. He hosted The Biggest Loser and is a celebrity trainer. However, several years ago, Bob had a heart attack. This changed his fitness routine to something less rigorous. But during the Stonehenge challenge in Episode 4, Bob realized the limit did not exist.
People reported the details on Bob’s new workout routine. Regarding the Stonehenge challenge, Bob said, “That day really f*cked me up. And I’ll tell you, since my heart attack, I completely changed the way I work out. And for years all I’ve done is yoga.”
He admitted that he “didn’t want to push it” for fear of another heart attack. But that day was a turning point. He said, “Since Traitors and since that day, I have definitely changed the way I work out and I’m doing a lot more challenging things, which feels really good. But for the longest time, I didn’t trust my heart anymore.”
Bob’s partner in the challenge was co-star Britney Haynes. And even though it was an extremely taxing situation, the two joked about Bob faking another heart attack so they could get out of it.
He explained, “There was a funny moment during that mission. [Britney and I are] trying to carry this thing, which was really, really heavy. And at one point, we drop it down and we’re both kind of breathing heavily and she looks at me and she was like, ‘Do you think you can kind of fake another heart attack or something?’”
While Bob’s on the up and up with his workouts, his time on the show was short-lived. He was murdered by the Traitors during Episode 6.
The Traitors continues Thursdays on Peacock at 9/8c.
