It seems that Rebecca Minkoff is one-and-done. The friend of the cast has decided not to return for next season of The Real Housewives of New York. It isn’t a shock, after watching the Season 15 RHONY reunion. Plus, Rebecca was controversial from the start. And a bit … boring.
Rebecca Minkoff wants “to reprioritize” her life and is leaving Real Housewives of New York
During the reunion, Rebecca’s friend Erin Lichy lashed out at her. She called Rebecca “the most self-involved human I have ever met.” She was upset that Rebecca didn’t support her after her father passed away.
In addition, Rebecca is a member of The Church of Scientology, which confused her co-stars. At the reunion, Rebecca defended Scientology. “It’s hate speech to keep calling a religion a cult,” Rebecca stated. “You wouldn’t be asking these questions about Christianity, Muslim, Judaism. I’m tired of the attacks, and it’s suddenly okay with this religion.”
And, finally, Rebecca had to keep apologizing for the cringe pregnancy prank that she masterminded. And Erin was her sidekick on that mission. Oof.
Well, Rebecca hopped on Instagram and announced her departure. Rebecca wrote, “2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded [of] the importance of family, friends, and community now more than ever.” She continued, “The last month has given me a perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast, and MY BOOK.” Well, I can understand that.
“As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women, and raising my family. I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships, and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter,” Rebecca said. “Time to turn the page.”
Somehow I don’t think her co-stars will be breaking out their tissues over this news.
