With the introduction of Bozoma Saint John the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been gifted a much-needed breath of fresh air. The former Netflix CFO is witty and intuitive, leaving little room for interpretation or bullsh*t. She has blended well with most of the cast and seems to have found her footing. However, OG Kyle Richards has not exactly warmed up to Boz. And while there is still a bright future here is what I think is holding the duo back from bonding.

Kyle Richards’ dramatic reading of a text message

Early on, fans watched as Bozoma and Dorit Kemsley bonded. As the mother of one noted, Dorit likes to talk, and she likes to listen. So it is a match made in heaven. But this early friendship meant that Boz was privy to a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff going down with Dorit and PK Kemsley. Right off the bat, the newbie learned her new friend was going through a separation. Almost immediately their respect for one another grew, and that meant Kyle was already playing catch-up before she even was properly introduced to Boz.

Fast forward to the argument of whether or not Kyle is just sending memes to PK. There are clear lines drawn in the sand, and most, I’d argue, think that the Halloween actor crossed a line. In an attempt to defend herself, Kyle read the questionable text aloud. Upon learning this, Boz boldly approached Kyle and asked to also read the text. Immediately Kyle’s walls were up as she felt offended. I have to say, if I were Kyle, I would feel upset, too. This is more due to how easily Boz felt she should also have the privilege of reading a personal message. The move put a bad taste in Kyle’s mouth. But for Boz, the message and reaction were all she needed to know, and that Kyle was guilty of something.

Bozoma Saint John thinks Kyle Richards is two-faced

Their slow-moving connection also isn’t helped by the fact that Bozoma finds her new co-star untrustworthy. While in the Watch What Happens Live hot seat, Boz was asked during a game of A Boz Garden who she felt was the most two-faced, to which she replied, “Kyle.” She laughed hard as she noted that Kyle felt like she was the Queen Bee of the group. Boz plucked a few thorns as she noted that Erika Jayne was the most welcoming and that Dorit had what it took to make it in the corporate world.

I can’t imagine Kyle was happy to read those headlines the next morning. Speaking badly about one another is a sure-fire way to earn yourself an enemy. Kyle, who has been having a tough year to begin with, now probably feels even more excluded from the group and Boz.

Kyle Richards and Bozoma Saint John can work it out

Okay, even though there is a long way to go before these two are best buds, there is a chance. Boz is a smart woman who doesn’t seem to have a malicious bone in her body. She is a woman who takes in all the facts and analyzes them to the best of her ability. Kyle is going to need to lower the walls a little and actively try to let the newcomer in. The mother of four can’t sit on her laurels of being an OG anymore. That title means nothing to Boz, as it shouldn’t.

I also think Boz needs to take off her corporate leader hat and not fight Dorit’s battles. She is a good friend, but she doesn’t know the intricate background story of Kyle and Dorit’s long friendship. The mother of one also needs to let the two women sort out their issues without offering advice. If Kyle and Bozoma can put aside their preconceived notions, then I think there is a chance for them to not only like one another but thrive. Both have to put their egos aside as they navigate the troublesome waters that are known as a new friendship based on sisterhood
