The youth of the Bravo nation was corrupted shortly after the New Year upon hearing the news that Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover had called it quits. The duo had been an item for the last three years. And dare I say, viewers had become familiar with their faces and courtship. Paige made it painfully clear she didn’t want to settle down. But the Southern Charm star still held out hope he’d get a traditional wife sometime soon. After a few weeks of cooling off, it feels like their breakup is going the distance, especially since Craig has unfriended his ex.
Unfriending a Bravo ex means the relationship is really over
At this moment, Craig is no longer following the influencer on Instagram. Both have posted together numerous photos of one another over their dating timeline but the time of funny memes has come to an end. Paige however, is still following the Sewing Down South founder. During a December Giggly Squad episode, Paige had made it clear that she wanted to stay friends with Craig after their split. But in the real world, fans knew that sentiment didn’t have a high success rate. At the time, she said, “I have so much love and respect for Craig … I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him … because he is the best. But, with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”
To her credit, Paige didn’t seem to be bothered by the unfriending. She took TikTok to respond to a fan. The follower recorded herself pouring wine with the caption “This and ‘Did you hear Craig unfollowed Paige.'” Clearly unphased by the defriending, Paige took to the comments, writing, “How did you not spill?” But something about Craig’s decision left an icky feeling in the pit of my stomach.
There could be drama on Summer House now
With any breakup, there are bound to be a few heated conversations. And when you’re two stars on two separate shows, that means there is more of a chance that cameras will catch the fallout. All you have to do is take a look at the last season of Summer House with Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard. The former love birds were head over heels one minute and then breaking up in the middle of their $10,000-a-month apartment. I don’t think Paige would stoop to an activated level, but Craig, I can see lashing out.
When Naomie Olindo dumped the Charleston native, he wasn’t exactly a gentleman. The two would find themselves fighting for months as they continued to film together. During their last season, Craig drunkenly berated Naomie. I wonder if he will lose his temper with Paige now that he is no longer her boyfriend. It would be interesting to see how the two interact from here on out. I also imagine fans would have a chance to see a passionate and emotional Craig wound up when he sees Paige isn’t crying into a pint of Ben and Jerry’s.
Craig Conover could be moving on
There have already been rumors that Paige might have found a new beau. So, the same could be said for Craig. It doesn’t exactly make sense that he would unfriend her on social media and not see her at all. That isn’t a realistic move. He would still be following mutual friends, fan accounts, and blogs that would actively have updates on Paige. So, could he have found himself a new love interest? Southern Charm fans know firsthand that all Craig wants to do is settle down and live out his life in the backyard oasis he has created. All the unfriending made me think that there could be a high possibility that he is also moving on.
It’s only been a month since the breakup, so his decision to find love again would be fast. Paige seemed to hint at a disconnect during her announcement. She told co-host Hannah Berner, “You just kind of are in this relationship, and as you get older — I mean I started dating Craig when I was 29 and I’m 32 now. And your thirties, for women, really are transformative, and you change a lot and you grow a lot, and him as well.”
