The news of Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo’s split may have caught some Bravo fans by surprise. However, Leva Bonaparte definitely saw it coming. The Southern Charm star said the writing was on the wall weeks before the couple announced their split. She was just waiting for the rest of the world to catch up.
Leva Bonaparte saw the red flags in Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s relationship
Of course, there were already a few red flags that were obvious to Southern Charm and Summer House fans. The fact that they were both unwilling to relocate for the relationship was a major problem in itself. According to Leva, she had a front-row seat to even more odd behavior before the couple announced their split.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Leva said she noticed Paige slowly stopped showing up to social events. One of the most notable absences was when she didn’t show up to support Craig and Austen Kroll’s new restaurant, By the Way.
“I think [it was] a month leading up before the breakup that we didn’t see her at the restaurant opening,” Leva recalled. “We didn’t see her at the [Southern Charm Season 10] premiere. We didn’t see her at a lot of places.”
In particular, Paige’s absence from the Southern Charm Season 10 premiere party stood out to Leva because the party was in New York City. Paige lives in New York, so why wouldn’t she show up to support her man? It’s not like she’d need to travel far to support her man.
“I was just like, ‘Oh, weird.’ It’s weird that she wouldn’t have — we were even in New York [for] our premiere. She wasn’t there,” Leva recalled. “I was like, something’s … off.”
Leva was right. Something was off, but apparently, Craig downplayed it to his Southern Charm co-stars. Perhaps he just wasn’t ready to admit that his relationship had run its course.
“Craig is so guarded that, [he’s like], ‘Hey, hey, guys. Yeah, she’s working.’ So we’re just like, ‘OK,’” Leva explained.
