Summer House Season 9 premieres on February 12 and enough time has passed since filming that fans will get to see Lindsay Hubbard pregnant. The former publicist notably lived sober in the party house while carrying her daughter Gemma.
The Bravolebrity made sure to enjoy her pregnancy and her costars were hyped to see another side of her. But now that Lindsay is a mother, it remains to be seen how or whether she will be integrated into the cast for the next season.
Lindsay Hubbard wasn’t the “focus of the drama” this season
Lindsay told E! News that she approached cast conflict completely differently while pregnant.
“Something happened in pregnancy where it made me very happy giddy and giggly and joking all the time,” she said. “It was a unique opportunity to be more of the commentator on everyone else’s wild drama and lives, which is not a role that I’ve ever really been in on Summer House. Usually, I’m the focus of the drama.”
Still, several cast members spoke of loving Lindsay’s vibe last season. Jesse Solomon praised her mothering instincts. Even Kyle Cooke, who often butted heads with his costar, found nothing to complain about while filming Season 9.
But the question now is one of logistics. Perhaps Lindsay would be more suited for The Real Housewives of New York?
“Of course I would love to come back next season,” Lindsay said. “Obviously I’m not going to live in the house full time, it’s a party house. But we have over the last couple of years done a lot of filming in [New York City]. There’s a lot of opportunity to still be on the show and participate with my life, but not having to live in the house.”
She pitched, “Whether that’s meeting everyone at the beach or filming lunches around the city or whatever the case is, there’s a lot of openness for the show to evolve with me and my daughter.”
There has been a shift to more filming in the city. But would viewers be interested to see Lindsay mothering her child? And would the Bravolebrity bring Gemma on camera? Actually, she’s game.
“I would love that,” Lindsay revealed. “There’s big conversations around that right now. My boyfriend is private, I’m public, what does that make daughter? We’re trying to figure that out as we speak.”
