In the wake of James Kennedy’s arrest, many fans and Bravolebrities, reached out to Ally Lewber to check in. Southern Hospitality star Maddi Reese was one of them. She had a professional connection with James, who mentored her as she embarked on a DJ career. But it turns out that the Southern Hospitality star is friends with both parties.
Ally and Vanderpump Rules alum dated for three years before the incident. They presented a united front at first. Then, in January, Ally confirmed her split from the DJ.

“I’ve reached out to Ally and I’ve talked to her,” Maddi exclusively told Us Weekly. “But I just wish the best for both of them.”
James previously mentored Maddi when she started her DJ career. The duo nurtured a friendship for several years. She told the publication that she still has “love” for the VPR alum, as well as for his ex-girlfriend.
“I love both of them so much,” she shared. “And I wish the best for them and obviously the best for Ally.”
James will not face any charges over the incident. He is choosing to focus on sobriety now.
“I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones,” he shared on his Instagram in December. “Navigating challenging moments is not easy but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”
Ally moved out of the home they shared in December to stay at an Airbnb in LA. She is expanding her client base in her astrology business.
“I’m OK and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time,” Ally shared with her followers on social media.
Meanwhile, Maddi shared a huge professional win on Southern Hospitality. She played a gig to DJ in Las Vegas.
