During Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, star Sutton Stracke tried to unite her co-stars. She performed a ritual that should have united them in sisterhood. Well, this is RHOBH, so we all know that didn’t happen. During the most recent episode of the show, Sutton invited Garcelle Beauvais and Kyle Richards to come to Augusta, Georgia to meet her mother, Reba. And let’s just say that Reba is a true steel magnolia. Now Tamra Judge is sounding off on Reba, and how Sutton is just like her mom.
Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp claim that Sutton’s mother “is exactly like” Sutton
Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra, who co-host the podcast Two Ts In A Pod, had quite a bit to say about Sutton’s mother. “Reba! Oh my goodness! She’s the new villain,” Tamra stated. “Reba and Sutton are the same human being,” Teddi replied.
Tamra responded, “They are. Well, I … I don’t know if Sutton is as bad yet, but you can definitely … gives a lot of clarity.” That statement made Teddi laugh as she added, “As bad yet.” Tamra, as usual, had an uplifting remark for her listeners. “Yet. Because you know you get worse as you get older,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Teddi was interested in why Sutton invited Kyle and Garcelle only. “What about how Sutton must be like, ‘Okay. You guys have lost your mother so come and meet mine so you can see why you’re better off,’” Teddi said. Then Tamra added, “That’s a good way of looking at it.”
At the time, Sutton’s relationship with her mom had been strained for years. She wanted to get to a better place so that she wouldn’t regret it later.
Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp felt the scene with Reba was “uncomfortable”
Both Tamra and Teddi found it difficult to watch Reba opening Garcelle’s gift. And that’s nothing compared to the way she called one of Sutton’s children “kind of weird.” My jaw was on the ground. Of course, Sutton knew that she could “be inconsistent,” which annoyed her fellow Beverly Hills housewives.
Teddi said, “The way the mother handled getting the scarf from Garcelle made me … really uncomfortable.” And Tamra felt the same. “Oh my God! I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ The entire scene made me so uncomfortable. All the way from talking about kids being weird,” she explained.
Still, Teddi was convinced that Sutton was just like her mother. “Sutton, you cannot say you’re not like your mother and then introduce us to a woman who is exactly like you,” the RHOBH alum said. “The spitting image of you,” Tamra remarked. Finally, Teddi added, “We have eyes.”
Of course, Sutton has been accused of stirring the pot by Dorit Kemsley. Plus, Erika claimed that Sutton “likes to kick a dog when they’re down.” Some of her RHOBH co-stars have accused Sutton of having a mean side. Still, I love Sutton’s relationship with her friends, like Garcelle and Jennifer Tilly.
I think that Sutton’s mom is a “strong” woman. However, she probably expected a great deal from Sutton. Meeting her mother helps explain some of Sutton’s personality quirks.
