We finally know why all of those camera crews were spotted at Something About Her. It turns out it wasn’t going to be the next Vanderpump Rules spinoff. Instead, it was Katie Maloney filming a commercial for Hellmann’s mayonnaise. That’s not nearly as exciting, but in a world without Pump Rules, we have to work with what we’ve got.
Katie has a “secret sauce” with Hellmann’s
Oddly enough, this ad dropped the day after the Super Bowl, also known as the biggest day for commercials. We think this deserved a spot right after kickoff. If Ann Maddox can star in a Super Bowl commercial, why can’t Katie?
Either way, the Hellmann’s commercial brought the mayo brand inside of Something About Her where Katie teases her “perfect creation” of a sandwich.
“I needed to know what people really thought about my new sandwich, so I went undercover,” Katie says in the ad before walking into Something About Her. “I had the perfect disguise!”
Dressed like a private investigator, she comes into the sandwich shop and watches her customers go crazy over her new sandwich, which honestly looks like it’s just turkey on white bread slathered with mayo.
“You can’t fake a good sandwich,” Katie says at the end of the ad before taking a big bite of her extra-special sandwich.
Katie uploaded the clip to Instagram, and like clockwork, all of her VPR pals have been showing love in the comments. One of the top comments came from Something About Her co-owner, Ariana Madix.
“10/10 would watch you do this as a full-length feature,” Ariana wrote, along with a series of heart-eye emojis.
