Brittany Cartwright Addresses House Sale Rumors

As ever with a separated couple, the issue of their former residence comes up. And parents understandably want the least amount of upheaval as possible for their children. Such is the case with Brittany Cartwright and her three-year-old son Cruz.

When she and Jax Taylor first split, it was Brittany who moved out into an Airbnb. But now The Valley star is back in her rightful place as queen of the castle. Most importantly, Cruz gets to stay in the home he grew up in. As for Jax, he moved into a townhouse at the end of August 2024.

Brittany Cartwright has “completely taken over” the mortgage

During the February 7 episode of When Reality Hits With Jax & Brittany, the Kentucky native gushed about not only living back in her marital home but also taking over the ownership,

“I am happy to say that I own my house. This is my home. Me and [my son] Cruz are back here living here […] this is where he was raised,” Brittany revealed in response to a fan question.

The Valley star is “hustling” to keep her dream home. She has no plans to sell it, as she’s doing perfectly fine on her own. It’s ideal for Cruz’s well-being, and the fact that she has full custody of her son.

“I really feel like I made this house a home and I never dreamed I would have a house like this. So I just feel so lucky and I really [don’t] want to sell it,” Brittany explained. “So it is not going for sale anytime soon. This is another reason why I’m hustling, because I’m going to take care of my household and I’m going to take care of my son and I’m just very proud that I have been able to do all of this by myself. But yeah, this is my house. I’ve completely taken over everything and definitely not going to sell this baby anytime soon. I love her.”

Brittany feels like she has her “house back”

Brittany told her listeners that co-parenting with Jax has been improving. The former Vanderpump Rules stars are “handling” the situation “the best that we can.”

The Bravolebrity continued, “When we’re getting along, he’ll come over and try to help out with things here and there. It’s a very up-and-down rocky situation with us, but we’re working on it.”

Brittany shared her “favorite thing” now that she’s single is “not having to clean up after somebody else.” And she expressed the feeling of having “my house back finally.”

“OK, I’m not having to shut all the cabinet doors or close the silverware drawer back … little stuff like that, [like] clean[ing] up the shaving hairs that are all around the sink, less laundry, you know. It’s nice not to have to clean up 24-7 after somebody else. So I’m trying to get used to it all,” she mused.

However, The Valley favorite admitted that she “can get lonely” at times. It’s happened more “often” than Brittany would like to admit, but she’s been leaning on her support system.

“Being single, I can get lonely sometimes […] and that’s happened to me often,” she added. “That’s why I love being with my son. I love being around my friends. It pulls you out of that funk whenever you get into it every now and then. And I think that’s completely normal when you’re going through a separation and a divorce like I am.”

A premiere date for The Valley Season 2 has yet to be announced.
