The two Southern Charm alums are on friendly terms. Olivia Flowers is hosting a web series and had Kathryn Dennis on as the guest on the premiere episode. The former Bravolebrities had a conversation about participating in reality TV.
Southern Charm has moved on with new cast members. But fans of the early seasons will remember Kathryn as an integral part of the show. Olivia’s run on the show was perhaps cut short by her drama with Austen Kroll and Taylor Ann Green. Now, the two former stars reconnected for Olivia’s project Off-Season.
Olivia blames “heated moments” on Southern Charm for why Kathryn couldn’t be herself
Olivia gave an exclusive interview with Decider and shared her impression of Kathryn and how she feels about Southern Charm now.
The interviewer gushed over their continued friendship. Olivia was asked to share “one thing about Kathryn that fans would be surprised to hear” about the mother-of-two.
“She’s hilarious. She’s so funny,” Olivia revealed. “And that side of her, I just feel like did not get disclosed enough on the episodes, obviously, because we’re in these heated moments. But she’s really, really funny and quick on her feet and she’s incredible at communicating. And that’s something that I think a lot of people didn’t get to see.”
Olivia suggested that editing played some part in Kathryn’s negative portrayal on Southern Charm. Her experience, sitting down with the former Bravolebrity, is that Kathryn is so much more relaxed one-on-one.
“You’re not in control of the edits and how long you’re going to be on there. But when she’s sitting down and you’re having these kind of conversations with her, she’s hilarious and incredibly intelligent. I think people would be surprised to know how funny she is. She’s a goof,” Olivia shared.
The South Carolina native wanted to “bring out her [Kathryn’s] goofy side” on Off-Season, as well as do something “a little out of our comfort zone.”
