With Episode 1 of Summer House Season 9 under our belts, fans were finally introduced to Lexi Wood. The newbie joined the show after meeting Amanda Batula and hitting it off. The 27-year-old is a firecracker and immediately caught the eye of several roomies. It makes sense as she spends her time working on her modeling career. So here is what we know about Lexi pre-Bravo, including her career and job history…
Summer House’s Lexi Wood works as a model
According to Bravo, Lexi was working as a model out in Los Angeles but finally made the move to the Big Apple. She is a “self-proclaimed ‘Lover Girl'” who “is ready to bring her positive and bubbly energy to the share house this summer.
The newbie was born on September 22, 1997, and has been working in the industry since she was a child. According to her Bravo bio, she has worked for some well-known brands such as Frame Denim, Swarovski, and Alo Yoga. Lexi has also modeled for the pages of Vogue Japan and Galore Magazine.
She once told The Fem Word that she grew up in a small city East of Toronto. But now, she currently resides in Los Angeles.
The newest Summer House member shared, “It’s been a long journey to get me to where I am now. I started modeling when I was 10, and then moved to Paris the day after my 17th birthday.”
Lexi added, ”From Paris, I moved to Miami, from Miami I moved to LA, and after spending 3 months in LA, I moved to New York. 2 years ago I decided to make the full move to LA! I haven’t stopped traveling, but LA is home for now!”
Lexi wasn’t always outgoing
Along with modeling, Lexi also hosts a podcast called 6&9. Even though the new Summer House roommate seemed very outgoing, she wasn’t always that way. Lexi revealed that she started modeling in an attempt to “help me get out of my shell. After I grew out of shooting kids clothing I took a bit of a break before being re-scouted at 15 by a mother agent who then signed me to Ford Canada, which was my first big modeling agency.”
Lexi has it all so it wasn’t surprising that she was then signed to a New York City modeling agency. “It was one of those moments where it was like a right place right time kind of thing,” gushed the Bravo star.
In the few scenes fans get to see Lexi, she seems like a person who is up for anything. She noted, “I think I was just always a super laid-back kid. I was also an overthinker and went through a lot of bullying growing up, so I think that contributed to my shyness, too! I never felt comfortable being my true self unless I was at home with my family or on-set modeling.”
As a model, she has been connected to some A-list Hollywood guys. Lexi dated Presley Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s son. She soft-launched her relationship on Instagram in November 2022. But she is currently single, and flirting up a storm in Summer House.
Lexi stood out to Jesse Solomon
Lexi walked into the Summer House, strutting her stuff. She caught Jesse Solomon’s eye as she wore high heels, short shorts, and a corset top. Somewhere along the line, he got the impression that she might be ditzy.
Lexi was extremely friendly and just trying to gain her footing. Jesse even asked her about the personality trait during dinner, which was awkward, to say the least. If anything, I would have argued that Jesse was the airhead after making a joke about her last name (“Lexi gives me Wood.”) Not really original.
The two are definitely hitting it off, and there will be more than just fireworks at the upcoming house parties. But, ditz or not, she seems to have stolen Jesse’s heart. He is already prepared to say he loves her. The sneak peek of the season shows the two kissing and talking about dating one another. The jury is still out on Lexi, but for now, she seems to be fitting.
