Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is officially a single lady again. And just in time for her appearance on the upcoming dating show Love Hotel! Ashley and ex-husband Michael Darby finally settled their divorce. This comes almost three years after announcing their separation. The prolonged process has been a part of Ashley’s storyline for the past few seasons of RHOP. In the Season 9 finale, she hoped it would be settled by the following week, but it obviously took longer than that. Now that Ashley and Michael’s divorce has been finalized, here are all the details you need to know about it.
When was RHOP star Ashley Darby and Michael Darby’s divorce finalized?
According to TMZ, which broke the news, Ashley and Michael finalized their divorce in February 2025. While we don’t know the exact financial agreement they settled on, we do know that the former spouses had a prenup.
Ashley filed for divorce back in November 2024, over two years after she and Michael separated. She initially announced their split way back in April 2022. At that time, she said they were splitting up because they were in very different places in their lives.
Throughout their time on the show, Ashley and Michael’s marriage never looked much like a fairy tale. They dealt with constant cheating allegations, on-screen fights, and even sexual misconduct allegations. When Ashley wrote and performed a love song, “Coffee and Love,” Michael seemed more bothered and embarrassed than flattered. They even separated back in the early seasons, partially due to the stress of opening a restaurant.
Ashley’s co-stars were thrilled when the separation was first announced. Then Ashley shocked all the ladies when she admitted to having a “coochie craving” for her ex despite their breakup. Over the years, Ashley’s marriage and separation journey truly took her co-stars, and RHOP viewers, on a roller coaster.
What we know about Ashley and Michael’s custody agreement
Ashley and Michael have two sons, Dean, 5 and Dylan, 3. Michael previously said that he and Ashley agreed to share custody of their boys. He told TMZ the agreement they came to was “amicable and fair.” Ashley’s attorney told People she “is very happy that they were able to come to an amicable resolution that puts their children first.”
Like many aspects of her divorce, Ashley’s custody agreement came up a lot during this season of RHOP. She confused viewers with her explanation of how she and Michael divided their time. Essentially, she said that she has the kids seven days a week, but Michael has them on weekends. Viewers will also remember how, despite her initiating the separation, she once revealed that Michael got a vasectomy because he didn’t want her to trap him into staying with her by getting pregnant again.
She also shocked people by revealing they bought a house together after they split. But she thought the move was the right idea for their kids.
What we know about Ashley’s love life now that her divorce is finalized
As she sings in her current anthem, Ashley is “Healing and Thriving” in her new era. Does that include a new romance? On RHOP this season, she went on some dates with a new man Josh Gudenburr, whose looks earned comparisons to rapper Jack Harlow. She also shared a smooch with Jacqueline Blake.
On a January Watch What Happens Live appearance, Ashley said she continued seeing Josh off camera, calling him a “good guy.” She was hesitant to label anything, but told Andy Cohen they were “only banging each other.” I’m sure their status will also come up during the upcoming RHOP reunion.
As for Michael, Ashley’s well aware that he’s back out around town. On that same WWHL appearance, she said people tell her all the time. She told Andy that she’s fine with Michael living his single life, but she doesn’t necessarily want to hear about it. Which is honestly fair!
