Real Housewives of Atlanta fans are cautiously optimistic about Season 16 of the show. Porsha Williams is back, along with Phaedra Parks and friend of the housewives Cynthia Bailey. It will be amazing to see the cast from when RHOA was in its prime. However, Porsha is expanding her career options, and I’m here for it.
Porsha Williams landed a role in a popular Lifetime movie series
Unfortunately, Porsha is also weathering a messy divorce from Simon Guobadia. I will be shocked if it doesn’t play out during the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Porsha is back in the acting game. In 2017, she shared that she would be performing on the stage. “I am extremely excited to announce I’ll be performing nationwide in the theater remake of Two Can Play That Game!” And of course, Porsha was part of RHOA alum Kandi Burruss’ stage production of A Mother’s Love. As you may recall, RHOA showed Kandi’s struggle to bring her story to the stage.
According to TV Line, Porsha has a role in the final movie of the Single Black Female franchise on Lifetime. Porsha is portraying Detective Ebony Williams. Amber Riley, K. Michelle, and Raven Goodwin are all returning for Single Black Female 3: The Final Chapter. The movie will air on Saturday, March 22, at 8/7c on Lifetime.
The sequel begins with Monica’s exoneration after she was wrongfully convicted of murder. However, “the stain of suspicion lingers, and reclaiming her life, her career, and the trust of those around her is proving to be an uphill battle. Simone, now a fugitive, has fled to a convent in Mexico, having no choice but to abandon Houston, along with the one thing she truly cared about – her daughter, Joy,” the official synopsis read. This movie sounds intriguing. But then again, I’m a sucker for a good Lifetime movie.
“When a terrifying nightmare shakes her to the core, Simone becomes convinced Joy is in danger and returns to Houston, for a final reckoning between the estranged half-sisters. It’s only a matter of time before old grudges resurface and Monica and Simone come face-to-face,” the synopsis continued. “K. Michelle reprises her role as Monica’s best friend Bebe.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 premieres on Bravo on Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c.
