Teddi Mellencamp is not having the best year. While wading through her divorce, this Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum grew ill, and now, she is fighting another battle. But when it rains, it pours, as Teddi is learning. Teddi just got slapped with a lawsuit by one of her former employees.
Thankfully, Teddi has the love and support of many in her corner. She will need her village as her doctors try to formulate a plan for her newly developed brain tumors stemming from her original melanoma diagnosis.

Andy Cohen gave a shout-out to Teddi this week on Watch What Happens Live. His words were kind, and we know Teddi appreciates the support. But then the internet started talking about Julia Umana, who feels differently than Andy. Instead of wishing Teddi healing, this former live-in nanny and housekeeper is suing her former employer, and her claims are damaging.
TMZ got their hands on this lawsuit, where Julia claims that Teddi made her life a living hell. According to Julia, Teddi abused her power, shorted her paychecks, and created a hostile work environment by engaging in racial discrimination and harassment practices whilst Julia was in her home.
Julia also claims that Teddi was hard on her, treating her worse than her white household staff members. She also states that Teddi accused her of stealing, even though Teddi has cameras in her house. But Teddi never spoke poorly or accused her white, blonde employee, Julia added.
Teddi even allegedly mocked her for speaking Spanish, Julia stressed. Here it might be worth noting that Teddi’s estranged husband Edwin Arroyave was born in Colombia, so this might not track. But when Julia told Teddi she wanted to resign, Teddi pressured her to work three additional 12-hour shifts, paying Julia $325. When Julia complained about this pay, she got canned, she claimed.
Now, Julia is suing Teddi for wrongful termination and unpaid wages. She is seeking more than $2 million in damages.
