This season of Sister Wives has felt incredibly long. The episodes have dragged on, and it hasn’t helped that Season 19 was recorded two years ago. Fans have been kept up to date in real-time, so nothing has been a surprise. So, the only thing giving us hope is the idea that we will learn a few new truths. Here’s what we can expect.
Meri Brown wants answers Kody Brown can’t give
The mid-season finale shared a look at what’s coming this spring for Kody, Robyn, Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown. And I have to be honest; it is going to be a hard pill for the patriarch to swallow. Meri starts off by addressing her odd friendship, if we can call it that, with Kody now that she is divorced. The crux of her issue seems to lie with her once close ties to Robyn Brown. For multiple seasons the two women seemed to be ride or die. At one point, Robyn even offered to be a surrogate. Meri legally divorced Kody in order for the father of 18 to marry his fourth wife.
But since the divorce, Meri Brown has opened her eyes to the possibility that she has just been used as a puppet. Geppetto Robyn had goals for the family and it looks like Meri was just one of her pawns. “There’s so many people that are like, ‘She was a liar, she’s manipulating,’” Meri tells Jenn Sullivan. Apparently, now Robyn ignores Meri, who added, “Why tell me that you want to have a relationship with me and then ghost me for months and months and months?”
Janelle Brown talks about her dating life
Sister Wives will see that Suki Krishnan is back in the hosting seat. Many viewers called for her removal for not being able to ask the hard questions. But the trailer for the tell-all shows her prying into Janelle Brown’s dating life. It turns out the mother of six is open to finding love again and notes, “I promise you, I am not asexual. I promise you.” TLC viewers have often questioned if Janelle would go searching for love. But for the most part she has seemed to enjoy the company of herself. She added, “I definitely don’t want someone who is such a prima donna like Kody is.”
Janelle isn’t too worried about Cupid’s arrow and is more concerned with her fight for Coyote Pass. She tells Meri, “Kody could sell the 2-acre piece of property he and Robyn own and the 5 acres. There are a few things that I will fight for, and this is one of them.” However, Kody has a few opinions stating that he is all about playing fair: “I’m not trying to rip you off, Meri!” Kody insists. “This is all imagined in Janelle’s head because Janelle feels like, ‘Oh, I got divorced so I deserve something.’”
Robyn Brown might be obsessed with herself
Even after all the crocodile tears, Robyn still wants plural marriage. Another scene from the Sister Wives Tell All shows the mother of five accusing Christine, Janelle, and Meri of essentially being obsessed with her marriage to Kody. “I wish they all would focus on their own relationships without my name coming up,” she says. Cameras pan to Christine, who insinuates that Kody and Robyn had a sexual relationship before their wedding day. Engaging in a physical relationship is a big no-no in the Mormon community and is severely frowned upon. The newlywed quips, “We’ve all seen their engagement photos. I wonder how close they got before they were married?”
Kody is in the Season 19 hot seat in a later clip. The father of 18 told the host that he was being “guilted” by his family for loving Robyn. Honestly, at this point, I don’t know who cares anymore about their love for one another. And quite frankly I can’t imagine any of his children have the time to constantly berate their dad.
But Kody does think highly of himself. Kody is heard telling Suki, “Polygamy doesn’t work if you’re going to actually fall in love,” to which the host asks, “And you fell in love?” Kody then claims, “I fell in love hard. Hard.” But perhaps the worst outburst from Kody was when he shut down the host after she asked if he had any other sexual experience prior to marriage. Kody aggressively clapped back, saying, “Okay. Listen, Suki. I want to shut you down now. “ No, sir. Not today, Satan!
