Ciara Miller Calls Out ‘Misogyny’ Surrounding Paige DeSorbo’s Split From Craig Conover

Ciara Miller has Page DeSorbo’s back when it comes to the split from her Southern Charm ex-boyfriend Craig Conover.

If she were to rate the level of her surprise at Paige and Craig’s breakup on a scale of one to ten, she was a one. The Summer House star admits she was never convinced that Craig and her bestie were each other’s person.

“I’ve had a front-row seat for three years,” Ciara told Us Weekly. “I feel like I really know that girl. There were just some things where I was like … this isn’t it.”

Paige had the right to decide she wanted to move on

The couple split over Thanksgiving weekend, but Paige didn’t go public until December 2024. Most fans understood that Paige just didn’t want to leave NYC, while Craig’s life was based in Charleston. But some thought she was moving on too quickly, even hinting she’d cheated on Craig before the breakup.

When Craig refused to come to Paige’s defense, some fans became even more suspicious. He even told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, “I’m the ex-boyfriend now … It’s none of my business what she does anymore.”

But blaming Paige for deciding she didn’t want to marry Craig doesn’t sit well with her ride-or-die. “There’s been a lot of misogyny online … geared toward Paige,” Ciara said.

The Victoria’s Secret model pointed out that the whole purpose of dating people is “to figure out if you want to be with them. Ultimately she didn’t, and that’s totally fine.”

“We’re not gonna sit here and act like Craig is just like the ultimate peach,” Ciara continued. “I’m sorry, but she did a lot of work to get him to this point where he’s at now … The Craig that we know now is not the Craig … that we [knew] three years ago.”

Craig has done a lot of growing up in the past three years. He developed his Sewing Down South business, stopped partying, bought a house, and made it into a family home. He even quit drinking, causing friction with his Charleston pals who thought he was no fun anymore.

Craig made some big changes in his life, and a lot of it was him trying to make himself into a man Paige would want to marry. The fact that she ultimately decided she didn’t want to marry him doesn’t make her a terrible person.

Ciara wants people to stop calling independent, assertive women “mean”

And Craig isn’t perfect. During the Season 9 premiere of Summer House, Paige shared that she “caught” Craig “texting two b*tches in the course of our relationship.” Craig later denied that he’d ever cheated on Paige and called her comment “retaliatory.”

Meanwhile, Ciara feels that when people say Paige was “mean to Craig,” they should also remember hearing the same accusation about Craig’s ex-girlfriend Naomie Olindo. The registered nurse thinks that says more about Craig than it does about his girlfriends.

“Let’s ask ourselves … why are they mean to him?” Ciara asked. “What’s your definition of mean? Like, she’s not kissing the ground that he walks on? She has an opinion about things? She’s steadfast in what she wants for herself and her future and what her future family’s gonna look like?”

Ciara thinks Craig and Paige’s relationship was shown from two very different POVs on their respective shows. She called the Southern Charm audience a “super-insanely traditional, misogynistic fan base.”

“It’s very old school and honestly, I’m from the South. [So] I totally get that, like, mentality,” said the Atlanta native. “But we’re in 2025 … I think we need to ask ourselves different questions.”

Summer House airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
