Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have always rooted for Dolores Catania. Although she was besties with her ex-husband, Frank Catania, viewers wanted Dolores to find love. She dated a doctor, David Principe, but his career left him no time for Dolores. So, when she started to date Paul Connell, RHONJ fans were optimistic. However, when the fact that Paul was separated for over 14 years, but still married, came to light, there were some concerns. Well, now Paul is sharing some news about his marital status.
What is the rush for RHONJ stars Dolores Catania and Paul Connell to get married?
In 2021, Paul and Dolores met on a blind date. Since then, Paul has appeared on RHONJ and became part of the guys’ group. Recently, Paul and Dolores were guests on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. “You guys are happy together,” host Jeff Lewis told the couple. “That’s exactly the way we look at it,” Paul replied.
“You seem to live a great life. You both are happy,” Jeff stated. “I don’t know what the pressure is.” Jeff is, of course, referring to the pressure for the couple to tie the knot.
“No, we support each other. We get along,” Dolores responded. “We do things together and we’re happy with the way that …” Paul chimed in, “That’s just how people are. You get engaged and want you get married the next day. It’s just how it is.”
Of course, Dolores pointed out that these feelings came from a good place. “I think that it’s, but the intentions are good. They’re not busting my chops. For them, that’s what they would want from me,” Dolores explained.
Paul Connell reveals that his divorce will be settled soon
Still, Jeff pondered whether being married changes a relationship. “But you both are independent with your own assets and, you know, I don’t know. I don’t see the upside, really,” Jeff said. “The upside to it is my date is set for my divorce to be finalized, which is next week,” Paul stated.
“I don’t, it’s weird. What do you say to that? ‘Oh, congratulations.’ I mean, what do you say?” Jeff remarked.
“You know, a lot of people gave me a lot and him a lot about that, and he was just, whatever,” Dolores said. “I don’t care what people say, Jeff, to tell you the truth.”
Well, this is great news for the couple. Paul previously revealed that there was a matrimonial plan in place. “I think we have a plan that’s in effect that we believe is going to be within our time schedule,” Paul said, noting the plan would begin after his divorce.
I’m hoping that Dolores finally gets the happily-ever-after that she deserves.
