Veah Netherton and Sunny Mahdi had one of the more complicated relationships on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7. After online dating for a year, Veah flew to South Africa to meet Sunny in person. The pair had plenty of physical chemistry but struggled with cultural and religious differences. Veah further complicated things by bringing her ex-boyfriend Rory along for the trip. Despite their differences, Veah and Sunny got engaged at the end of the trip.
During the Tell All, however, Veah explained that things got complicated after she arrived home. Veah struggled with the lack of acceptance from Sunny’s dad, and they broke up temporarily. While Veah claimed that she and Sunny were back together and applying for his K1 visa, things later took a shocking turn. After the Tell All, Veah revealed that she had married her dog sitter who she went on a date with during her break from Sunny. Veah and Sunny are now engaged in an intense online feud. After news of Veah’s marriage broke out, Sunny went to Instagram to tell his side of the story. Sunny posted a series of screenshots, starting with messages between him and Veah during the Tell All. Veah was pressuring Sunny to speak and was instructing him on criticism to give to other couples. She also said, “We need to be saying I love you in front of production.” These messages were concerning, as they portrayed Veah as being controlling in the relationship.
To make things even worse, Sunny revealed that the Tell All was filmed in October. Veah got married in September and Sunny wasn’t aware of this at all during the Tell All. While Veah was telling everyone that she and Sunny were doing great, she was actually married to another man.
Sunny also provided screenshots of money transfers to Veah for an immigration attorney for his visa. He transferred $1500 on October 31st, which was two weeks after the Tell All. Sunny claimed that after he sent Veah the money, she ghosted him completely. It wasn’t until November that she messaged Sunny to say that she was married. When Sunny asked for his money back, Veah allegedly blocked him.

After Sunny’s initial series of posts, Veah was quick to come back with her own. Veah posted a screenshot of her and Sunny on FaceTime in December, allegedly three months after her marriage and two months after the Tell All. She claimed that she couldn’t have ghosted Sunny in October since they called in December.
Veah posted another screenshot telling Sunny that she couldn’t keep paying for a lawyer and captioned it “Why would I steal from someone I paid for things for?” This screenshot didn’t do much for Veah’s argument, as it makes sense that Sunny would try to pay after hearing this. She also indicated that Sunny was in South Africa illegally, but didn’t provide any context or proof.
The most surprising of Veah’s claims was that Sunny cheated on her when she was in the hospital. This also confuses the timeline, as Veah was allegedly with her husband while she was sick. Veah posted two photos of the woman and claimed that Sunny told her she was engaged to another man. While Veah said that she was going to look for screenshots of chats between Sunny and the woman, she hasn’t posted any yet.

Sunny had a lot to say after Veah’s claims and wanted to make sure viewers knew his side of them. To defend the cheating allegations, Sunny posted screenshots of messages between him and the other woman from 2021. He stated that he met Veah in 2023 and that she had dug up the screenshots when she logged into his Snapchat account.
Furthermore, Sunny claimed that Veah’s screenshots weren’t legitimate as there were no dates on the text messages. Sunny suggested that Veah’s poor photo editing skills were to blame. While there has been a ton of back and forth here, ultimately it does seem like Sunny has provided more concrete proof. It will be interesting to see if anything else comes out of this.
