Kim DePaola Claims RHONJ Cast ‘Were All Officially Released’

Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are anxiously awaiting word on whether the show will go on. Following a tumultuous Season 14, the cast was so fractured they couldn’t even be in the same room together. Rather than the usual reunion, the cast had to be split into two groups for a final episode.

Executive producer Andy Cohen and Bravo have put the troubled show on a timeout. There are currently “no plans to film anything for RHONJ until at least December 2025.”

Although the future of the show is unknown, long-time friend of the housewives Kim DePaola claims to have insider information. And she’s spilling the tea to the press.

Kim D says three of the RHONJ cast will stay with Bravo, while the rest will be free to pursue other lines of work

According to Kim, rather than an entire reboot (à la The Real Housewives of New York), producers hope to retain some of the RHONJ cast, while giving others their pink slips. But, they were all technically released, as nobody is guaranteed to keep their spot.

“The women were all officially released from their contracts due to it having been six months since they wrapped [filming RHONJ],” she told OK! “Due to this, they are technically let go.”

But before anybody freaks out, Kim insisted it’s not as bad as it sounds.

“Three of the women were given letters by the network to keep them engaged, [and] as a token of good faith,” she continued. “[Bravo wants to show] they’re still interested in working with them … [Not necessarily] RHONJ, but they will be working with three of the women in some capacity going forward.”

Please let those three be Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs. The rest can go, and I won’t miss them. However, fans are in for a wait. The cast is currently in a cooling off period, and a decision isn’t forthcoming.

“Bravo and Andy Cohen have repeatedly said, nothing will be decided in terms of RHONJ until 2026,” the Posche by Kim D owner added. “All of their shows for this year are mapped out, and RHONJ is not factored into that.”

Jennifer Aydin not returning amid Jersey Mike’s drama

As OK! previously reported, Jennifer Aydin will not be returning to the show. That’s a relief. I’m so tired of her superior attitude and thinking she’s better than everyone else. She proved that in spades when she berated a minimum-wage employee for making her sandwich too slow on New Years Day.

Bravo chose not to renew Jen’s contract after she publicly complained about Jersey Mike’s employees. She posted videos on X, formerly Twitter, of the employees, one of whom was elderly. She even rudely took out her frustration on the man behind her in line.

“There’s no excuse [for that],” an insider shared. “I also believe this has affected her husband’s business. She needs to read the room — look what’s going on in the country and in the world. People are suffering, and you’re over there like, ‘My diamonds are real’ and ‘I’m a celebrity.’”

Another issue was that Bravo discovered Jennifer was sharing her early “screeners” of episodes with bloggers during Season 14. That is a huge no-no, and Bravo wasn’t happy about it. “You can’t do that, and get away with it,” the insider asserted.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
