Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are the solid couple of Summer House, but are they moving to New Jersey? They have been together long enough that fans are looking for the next pivotal story arc. These days, their next step forward as a couple is potentially getting another house in the suburbs.
They got married on the show, and shared a lot of their ups and downs with viewers. On Season 8, Amanda expressed her desire to spend time out of the city. She also branched out from Loverboy professionally by starting her own swimsuit line.
New Jersey move talks were “simplified down,” says Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula
Amanda felt the need to “escape” the city on Season 8, Episode 5. Kyle was hesitant, as he felt his social life would be hindered. But the couple are known to work through conflict, so they were asked to update fans on the matter while chatting to The Daily Dish.
“We’re still in the same apartment,” Amanda said.
“Ultimately, I think we I think got a little off course. We were actually looking for more like an investment home,” Kyle explained. “Last year, I think it just kind of got simplified down to people thinking we were looking for a house in New Jersey and we were ready to move.”
But the former Loverboy Creative Director wanted to clarify that New Jersey “is where I want to ultimately live.”
Neither Amanda nor Kyle have confirmed a timeline for a potential move. It might be another one of those topics that doesn’t manifest for years to come.
The Loverboy founder spoke of moving when they have “a little toddler that wants to go play in the grass.” Amanda confirmed that leaving the city would coincide with motherhood. She wants to be “in the comfort of a home as a new mom.”
“I want to like be able to get into my car and drive to a doctor’s appointment,” Amanda added.
More so than that, Amanda wants to “escape to” an “outdoor space.” During the above-mentioned Summer House episode, she said, “I’ve been wanting to move out of the apartment forever, and I know that we’re not gonna move out out permanently.”
She concluded, “Where we live right now, I don’t feel comfortable. I’m, like, dying for a backyard. I want to sip coffee on my back deck. I want dew on my grass. Like, there are so many things that I just crave and you don’t get in a city.”
