Teddi Mellencamp’s loved ones continue to rally around her as she heals from emergency surgery.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is currently recovering from emergency brain surgery. This comes after she revealed that doctors discovered multiple tumors, some of which had been growing for at least six months. While two tumors have been removed, she will need radiation therapy to address the remaining ones.
Through it all, her family has been “all in.” Her sister, Justice Mellencamp, shared an emotional update on social media, expressing the family’s gratitude and the challenges they’ve faced during this time.
Justice Mellencamp says watching her sister Teddi suffer has been “horrific”
Justice shares parents John Mellencamp and his ex-wife, Victoria Granucci, with Teddi. She recently opened up about the emotional toll of her sister’s health battle in a February 16 Instagram Story. Beneath a touching photo of her at Teddi’s hospital bedside, she expressed how hard it’s been to see Teddi in so much pain.
Justice’s message read, “Watching a loved one suffer is horrific. I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready. She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them. Your prayers are everything. Thank you.”
Justice acknowledged the strength of their entire family unit, highlighting how they’ve all come together for Teddi’s recovery. Despite their divorce filing last November, Teddi’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, has also been a major source of support. He has kept fans updated on her condition and made sure their three children — Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 4 — have been able to visit their mom in the hospital.
Close friends, including her recent roommate, Kyle Richards, and country singer Morgan Wade, have visited Teddi in the hospital, adding to the wave of love she’s received.
Before undergoing surgery, Teddi revealed on Instagram that she had been dealing with severe headaches for weeks. A CT scan and MRI confirmed the presence of multiple tumors, leading to her immediate hospitalization. Given her history of melanoma, Teddi had previously been vocal about the importance of regular health checkups and early detection.
