At least once a week, some random person comes out of the woodwork claiming that they were asked to be a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The latest person to join the trend is actress Ana Ortiz.
We know you’re probably asking yourself, “Who in the world is Ana Ortiz?” We’ve got you. You know her from Ugly Betty and Devious Maids. Most recently, she was on Hulu’s Goosebumps show, and allegedly, she was almost a Real Housewife.
Ana Ortiz could have been a Bravolebrity
Ana recently did an episode of Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, and that’s where she first dropped the info about her brush with Bravo stardom. Supposedly, casting agents reached out to gauge her interest.
“I’m not gonna lie, there was a moment where I may have gotten an email from my agent where they may have been asking if I was interested in doing Beverly Hills,” she teased.
Immediately, she had some questions. Her first concern was that she didn’t live in Beverly Hills. Anyone who watches the show knows that your home address doesn’t make a difference. None of them live in Beverly Hills.
Ana’s other reservation about RHOBH is something that was a dealbreaker. She just doesn’t have the personality for it. Instead, she said she has more “friend of” energy.
“I’d have to be a friend of, although I think with as much mess as I talk about them, none of them are going to want to be my friend. You gotta have a thick skin,” she explained.
Ana’s revelation came just a week after actress Rebel Wilson said someone from RHOBH approached her wife for the show. Similarly, she felt on the fence about it. Plus, Andy Cohen has practically begged Ayda Field to come on the show. Who’s next?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
