Rose of Blackpink never fails to amaze fans with her chic and elegant style. Most recently, the K-pop idol elevated her fashion game by flaunting a mermaid-inspired look in new photos from the Spring Fashion Issue of The Cut. On February 18, the singer took to Instagram to share a carousel of photographs from the mesmerizing magazine shoot, and they are dreamier than ever.
Blackpink’s Rose stuns in mermaid-inspired dress in The Cut photos
Blackpink member Rose looked straight out of fantasy lore in the new The Cut issue, the photos of which were uploaded by the singer on Instagram. The first still in the carousel showcased the K-pop star wearing a mesmerizing mermaid-style white haute couture gown from Jean Paul Gaultier by Ludovic de Saint Sernin.
It is Look 6 from the brand’s 2025 Spring Couture collection, which imagines the tales of ‘Le Naufrage’ (The Shipwreck) survivors. The gown looked like an art installation with its sculpted silhouette and creative tied-rope detailing. The off-the-shoulder sleeves made the ensemble look even more alluring.
Rose took a minimalistic approach to makeup and hairstyle to keep the main focus on her gown. In this photograph, the singer sat inside a music studio that had a vintage vibe due to the filter. A shiny silver heel from Christian Louboutin was kept right beside her on the carpeted floor.
The second picture displayed the Blackpink member leaning on a piano in a mood set-up. She wore a shimmery number featuring long sleeves with lacy ruffle details. The artist showed off a ring and her chic black manicure in the photo. Meanwhile, the third photo saw Rose donning an avant-garde ensemble from Viktor&Rolf that included a full-sleeve top featuring vampire collars and a big bow. It also displayed a dark-toned midi skirt. The singer paired the dress with classic Christian Louboutin pumps.
In another photo in the carousel, Blackpink’s Rose flaunted a Schiaparelli corset-style beaded mini dress with pearl embellishments. The singer wore a stunning neckpiece from Tiffany & Co. to perfectly complement the dress. In the caption of her post, the singer credited many people involved in the photoshoot, including stylist Jessica Willis who brought to the forefront many of Rose’s beautiful looks. Jungyo Won, who was behind her makeup, and hairstylist Brandon Pietsch made the musician look like a vision. Most importantly, Stevie Dance, along with his assistants, was the mastermind behind the photography.
