John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are the “embarrassing” kind of parents when they attend the performances of their older kids, Luna and Miles. During his recent appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Monday, Legend disclosed to the host that he and his wife, Teigen, like to keep it fun at their children’s shows.
The duo makes noises to embarrass the kids, with their daughter Luna taking vocal lessons and joining musical theater at school. The singer also revealed that the eight-year-old takes piano lessons, along with Miles, 6.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen don’t mind being the embarrassing ones for their kids
Kelly Clarkson could not believe how fast John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s kids grew up but joined in for laughs while discussing parenting techniques as the “embarrassing” kind of parents. Legend joined Clarkson on her chat show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” where he opened up about his and Teigen’s older children, Luna and Miles, and their musical inclinations. The couple have been married for nearly 12 years now, and share four kids, daughters Luna and Esti and sons Miles and Wren.
During a brief dialogue about his and Teigen’s children, Clarkson asked the singer, “So, your daughter started singing, right?” Following this, he delved into Luna’s interests, revealing that she’s taking “vocal lessons” and has joined “musical theater at school.”
Legend then told her that the eight-year-old and her brother Miles have started taking “piano lessons as well.” Getting into details about their parenting, the talk show host asked him if he and his wife are “embarrassing” parents while attending performances to which he responded with an affirmative.
John Legend dished that he and Chrissy Teigen are the embarrassing kind of parents when they attend their kids’ shows to keep the fun parenting spirit alive. He continued about how they like to embarrass the children, “You know, Chrissy’s going to make some notice and I’ll make some noise.” Clarkson humorously justified this by saying that “we’ve earned it” with Legend agreeing and adding, ” They need support and we’re supporting them.”
