The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast has two members who are navigating a separation. Dorit Kemsley was very freshly into it when the season started and had no indication of which direction the separation from PK Kemsley would be going.
Dorit chose a path of amicability at first. She was hoping to work through the issues with her estranged husband and move back in together. But now, the RHOBH veteran has a different view of the situation.
Dorit and PK Kemsley are not yet “doing the work”
“I feel that I have come a long way since the beginning [of the separation],” Dorit said during the recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. “I feel like things are getting clearer and clearer and clearer. We’re kind of going through things, finding our feet in how to navigate a separation publicly, raising and co-parenting our children. So, we haven’t gone into that place where we’re actually doing the work, and I don’t know if we ever will.”
During the same discussion, Dorit admitted that she hasn’t completely ruled out a reconciliation. However, she would expect a lot of work on PK’s part. And she previously said, the former couple have not coordinated such an effort yet.
“I don’t feel like I’ve reached a place where I know PK is not in my future,” she shared. “At the same time, if he turned around to me tomorrow and said, ‘Dorit, I made a terrible mistake. I want to come back home. Let’s have a go at this, we belong together, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’ I don’t think I could accept that. I’m gonna go a step further. I know I couldn’t.”
On a separate set for the After Show, RHOBH original star Kyle Richards weighed in on Dorit’s split from PK. She, notably, has a solid, meme-sharing friendship with Dorit’s estranged husband outside of her friendship with her RHOBH co-star.
“I think that they really are done,” Kyle opined. “I get that only from what Dorit has said to me… It surprises me because I always saw them as a couple that were codependent on each other, really, and loved each other so much.”
She added, “This does not seem like somebody who is home crying about wanting to be back with her husband. So, I think that she seems very strong and solid in this decision, even if it was PK who was prompting it. I just don’t see them back together now.”
