Is Bravo planning to expand its successful Real Housewives franchise to Seattle, Washington?
Rumors are circulating that the Real Housewives of Seattle just may be in the works. A poster on The Real Housewives Zone Instagram page claimed to have heard the information from a family member. “My cousin works for a party planner in Seattle and recently organized an event for one of the cast members filming the Real Housewives franchise of Seattle,” the poster shared.
Does Bravo have plans to expand Real Housewives into the Pacific Northwest?
Real Housewives Executive Producer Andy Cohen suggested Bravo could be looking into new locations. During a December 2024 episode of Watch What Happens Live: The After Show, Andy opened up the audience to questions. One audience member asked which city might have the most “untapped potential” for the new Housewives location.
Christine from New York asked, “Do you have any untapped cities that you feel [have] the best potential for the next [Housewives] franchise?”
“I mean, we’re always kind of fishing around,” Andy responded. “But I think we are in a pretty great place right now. But stay tuned, you never know.”
Amid the ongoing speculation during the “timeout” for the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bravo has yet to make any announcements. They like to keep things close to the vest until they’re ready to issue a public statement.
The last time Bravo added a new location to the Housewives franchise was in 2022. After two seasons, The Real Housewives of Dubai was also “put on pause” and is generally believed to be canceled.
In 2009, Bravo launched The Real Housewives of D.C., but it was also canceled after only one season.
The franchise currently has shows filming in nine cities: Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Dallas, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Orange County, Potomac, and Salt Lake City.
