I’ve been not so patiently waiting for Amanda Batula to drop her swimwear line. Summer House Season 8 showed Amanda questioning whether or not she could pull together a clothing line. The graphic designer doubted her capabilities, and it didn’t help that Kyle Cooke couldn’t see her vision. But Amanda has style. She has flair. That’s how she became one of the best-dressed cast members on her show. So when she finally dropped her swim collection, I was dead.
Amanda Batula knows summer trends
Aptly named Amanda Batula Swim, the Summer House star’s new bathing suit line features a red check bikini, a cherry-print bikini, and a classic Chanel-inspired black and white pattern. Amanda chose to partner with retailer South Moon Under for her bikini line and it’s a match made in heaven. In 2024, Amanda spoke with Us Weekly about her collaboration, noting, “I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it on my own. I’m a creative person.”
According to Amanda, Summer Moon Under “reached out, as well as a few other brands and people were just showing interest. And we started a conversation. Just hearing how much they believed in me and were excited about this … The team is just so amazing, and we all get along so well. It just was such an easy natural fit.” It turns out even Kyle is ready to help. She noted, “He is so willing to hop on the phone with me and take … the lead on a call, or whatever it is that I need from him. And then he just kind of stays out of it and lets me do my creative thing,” she shared. “And he’s not really involved in that aspect.”
Amanda Batula wants every girl to have the right fit
As fans know from years of watching Summer House, Amanda has had a hard time finding the perfect bikini. She shared that the concepts for the bathing suit line include “the fit, the adjustability, the support, and the comfortability of the pieces.” For Amanda, she is really focusing on buyers with larger breasts.“I wanted to make sure that we’re doing something that’s like a little different, or taking some of my favorite things from swimsuits that I have and combining them into what I think is the perfect swim top for my bigger boobs so that I don’t have to alter stuff and change them afterward.”
Surprisingly, Amanda’s suits are not overpriced or marked up. Each price point seems comparable with her high-end competitors. A bikini top is going to set customers back around $84, while bikini bottoms are listed for $76. The already sold-out Cherry Swim Tee was going for $48. My personal favorite, the Ellen black and white top, is $88, but it looks oh-so-perfect for those Hamptons days. The drawstring white pants that match will ring up for $92.
Paige Desorbo is ready to shop til she drops
As soon as the bathing suit line dropped Paige DeSorbo was shopping and filling her online basket. The fashionista took to her Instagram Story to show off her personal choices. Paige snagged the cherry t-shirt, Ellen swim top, and the Tina’s bottom. It was nice to see Paige support her best friend on such a big endeavor. And there is no doubt in my mind that if Paige buys these swimsuits, then so will I! It was cool to see Amanda model her own line, as it shows her true passion behind the brand.
Other Bravolebs flocked to the connect section to congratulate Amanda on her massive achievement. Jesse Solomon and Dolores Catania sent a bunch of fire emojis. One fan actually noted, “Love them all! But can you please make some options for us small-chested and thinner girlies? I don’t have the tits for the gingham top, and I’m devastated.” I imagine Amanda is already working hard on her next installment. Personally, I am hoping for a one-piece and bottoms that are cheeky but have more coverage.
