Dolores Catania is always trying to look better. The Real Housewives of New Jersey has had numerous cosmetic procedures. She also takes Mounjaro, after finding it a better match for her body than Ozempic. As such, the RHONJ star lost a noticeable amount of weight. But after incorporating a fitness overhaul, Dolores may be done with the Type 2 diabetes drug.
As with any medication, one has to weigh the benefits and side effects. Dolores also discussed the matter with her doctor. The Bravolebrity shared the advice her care provider gave her, and what she decided to do.
Dolores Catania continues to be “honest” about her medication use
Dolores hailed her Mounjaro experience as a “life-changer” during a recent interview with Hello! magazine. Her boyfriend, Paul Connell also got on board and lost 60 pounds. Needless to say, the results were “positive” for both RHONJ stars.
“I kind of think I broke the seal on being honest about it,” Dolores said of her history with the trendy weight loss drug. “With Ozempic, it has been a life-changer for me and my boyfriend, Paul, who lost 60 pounds. He no longer takes a certain blood pressure medication and it’s been really positive.”
She continued, “I personally like it. I know it’s time for me to wean myself off or go on a lower dose but doctors have said there’s not really anything wrong with staying on it. You must always go through a real doctor, though, who knows what they are doing. Research is everything.”
So Dolores got the green light to stay on the medication. If she does lower the dose, or go off it completely, it will be her decision.
In a prior interview with The Sun, Dolores went into more detail about how she became more dedicated to her workouts. The reality TV star and Paul hit the gym “three to for times a week.”
“I hate working out, but it’s starting to feel good to me,” she admitted.
