Though a premiere date hasn’t been confirmed for The Valley Season 2, Brittany Cartwright is looking forward to the show’s return.
On February 3, Bravo announced that The Valley would return “soon,” but have yet to set a date. I’m actually looking forward to seeing Britt emerge from her Jax Taylor chrysalis and flex her wings as a strong, independent woman.
So many life events to cover in The Valley Season 2
“I’m kind of the glue that holds this cast together,” the former SUR server told Life & Style. “I think I’ve been that since day one, and I love all of them … I’m really, really close to all the girls, all the guys, and I still am to this day. So, thank God, I’m not fighting with anybody at the moment.”
Brittany posted a Season 2 tease for the show on her Instagram. “Jax and I are still co-parenting,” she says in voiceover, referring to her ex, Jax. The former couple share a three-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. Despite Jax conceding full legal and physical custody to Brittany, she still permits him access to their son.
In October 2024, Brittany told Life & Style that Jax may have been a “terrible husband,” but he’s always been a “great dad” to Cruz.
“[But] then all hell broke loose,” the Vanderpump Rules alum adds in the video.
While Season 1 definitely revealed cracks in their relationship, the couple didn’t separate until after filming concluded. Brittany moved out in February 2024 and officially filed for divorce in August, at the start of Season 2 filming.
Season 2 is expected to show all the dirty details of Jax and Brittany’s split.
Jax and Britt weren’t the only couple to separate following Season 1. Michelle Saniei and Jesse Lally also separated following six years of marriage and a three-year-old daughter, Isabella Bunny.
Meanwhile, Kristen Doute accepted her boyfriend Luke Broderick’s proposal in September 2024. In November, Kristen announced that she and Luke are expecting. Their baby girl should arrive sometime in June 2025.
Brittany is working to reclaim her self-esteem
At the time of their separation, Britt said, “Things are very raw between us, so we’re still kind of in that angry phase.”
“But we’re trying … to get better every single day,” she told Life & Style in November. “If I needed something, Jax would be there for me, and he would be there for Cruz in a heartbeat.”
The one-time Hooters waitress admitted to losing “so much” of her confidence during her relationship with Jax. Viewers witnessed the way he bullied and gaslit her during Season 1. When Britt was sick and vomiting on a couples’ trip to Big Bear, he accused her of being hungover rather than just stressed out and sick.
After they separated, Brittany decided to do something to regain her self-esteem. She lost 45 pounds during her partnership with Jenny Craig. Afterward, she underwent a non-invasive AirSculpt treatment to tighten her core.
“I got huge when I was pregnant,” the Kentucky native confessed. “I’m always very open about that, like I was so big I got stretch marks. I had loose skin, and even as much weight as I lost I still could not control that tummy area like, no matter what.”
She added that her weight loss and air slope treatments were “life-changing for me, bringing my confidence back.”
The Valley Season 1 is streaming on Peacock.
