Dr. Heavenly Kimes Apologizes After Coming Under Fire for Implying Gay Guys Aren’t ‘Real Men’

If you watch Married to Medicine, then you know that the unofficial after-show happens on Dr. Heavenly Kimes’ YouTube channel. Every week, she rolls into her closet, presses record on her camera, and starts ranting about all of the latest shenanigans in the world of M2M. In Season 11, there’s been plenty to discuss.

In her latest video, Heavenly was ranting about the drama between Quad Webb’s new man and Dr. Gregory Lunceford. When discussing their conflict, she made a comment about gay men that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Now, she’s dialing back her comments and trying to apologize. Some people still aren’t here for it.

Did Dr. Heavenly just cross another line?

In Married to Medicine Season 11, Episode 12, we watched King lunge at Dr. G over comments he made towards his ex-wife. During Dr. Heavenly’s unofficial after-show, she said that King was justified in his actions, but she ended up making a derogatory comment about gay men in the process.

Heavenly said, “If you have a conversation with somebody and it goes to the left, most men – real men, not gay men, not b*tch men, the guys that are kinda soft – real men … straight men …are gonna feel like ‘If you tell my wife to shut the f*ck up I’m gonna have a problem with it.’”

A Married to Medicine fan uploaded the clip to Twitter/X, and that’s when Dr. Heavenly started getting dragged. The video has been viewed nearly one million times with thousands of fans calling out the casual homophobia in saying that gay men aren’t “real men.”

After thousands of responses poured in, Heavenly eventually recognized her mistake. She seems to have learned her lesson, even though some fans aren’t accepting her apology. Don’t believe us? Just look at the replies on the post.

“I apologize It was an ignorant statement,” Dr. Heavenly wrote. “I’m a grown ass woman I can admit when I’m wrong. I didn’t mean it that way.”

Married to Medicine airs every Sunday at 9/8c on Bravo.
