The peaches are almost back on Bravo, and this undoubtedly means a ton of drama. The network announced that Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora would return for Season 16. Not so long ago, Drew spoke out during interviews about how Porsha should return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta series. But now that the cameras have wrapped, it doesn’t feel like these two have the best of relationships anymore. So, where did it all go wrong?
Drew Sidora is sending a clear message
Real Housewives of Atlanta fans first noticed there was trouble in the ATL when Porsha and Drew unfollowed one another on social media. Both unfriended one another on July 4th, probably in hopes that fans wouldn’t notice for a day or two. The slight wasn’t missed, as both Bravolebs wanted to show their independence from each other. Season 15 showed the two moms getting along pretty well. As Drew dealt with her divorce from Ralph Pittman, Porsha offered support and a shoulder to lean on.
Neither Drew nor Porsha had addressed their possible falling out. But they are leaving some monumental-sized breadcrumbs. Drew has been on point when it comes to posting some cryptic messages. In one Instagram post, she wrote, “I grew out of calling everyone my ‘friend.’ Some people are just cool. Hi & Bye.” She attached a photo of herself standing tall. In another caption, she added, “I’m really in my calm era. I’m not moved by anything or anyone.” Hinting that she wasn’t going to let anyone ruffle her feathers, but she has yet to call Porsha out by name.
Cynthia Bailey hints at the frosty relationship
Even though Porsha also unfollowed her Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, she has been a bit more inactive. At the time of filming, she wasn’t even allowed to film scenes in her home due to her messy divorce from Simon Guobadia. All this writer can think of is that maybe Drew didn’t give Porsha the same grace she gave the actress when she went through her divorce. However, Cynthia Bailey recently shared a bit of insight into the women’s drama.
The model is back as a ‘friend of’ this season and didn’t know she would have to be acting as a peacekeeper. While doing a press junket for the new season, Cynthia hinted that the women weren’t exactly getting along. The mother of one shared, “Drew definitely has a lot going on this season, and she and Porsha bump heads for a while. Yes, there’s a lot of Drew and Porsha drama going on.” Cynthia was then asked if Porsha and Drew were able to reconcile by the end of the season but she couldn’t remember. Cynthia noted, “I can’t even remember. It took so long. I’m like, ‘Did they?’”
The kettle is about to boil over on the Real Housewives of Atlanta
The feud heated up while Porsha attended Bravo Fan Fest 2024 in Miami. While on stage, she made sure to throw a bit of shade at Drew. The host asked Porsha who needs to be more “unfiltered” moving forward. For the Bravoleb, the answer was simple. “Who needs to be unfiltered? To me, unfiltered is like living in your truth, who you are, your authentic self, where you show up everywhere you go,” Porsha shared, “I would say Drew Sidora, and I would love that for her, just because I think it’s easier ’cause you can remember what you say. Sometimes if you say something and it’s filtered, when someone says something else, you can’t remember it, so yeah.”
The answer definitely felt like shots had been fired between the two. The host then asked what exactly Drew needed to filter, to which Porsha replied, “You know, lies.” Drew was livid and took to Twitter to clap back. She wrote, “Hello pot, I’m kettle… didn’t you leave on a lie??” Drew seemed to be hinting at Porsha’s exit from RHOA in 2021. She added, “[And] returned to creating lies because someone couldn’t talk about someone.” Fans will have to wait for the season premiere to find out what really went down.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is available to stream on Peacock.
