Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Teddi Mellencamp, is finally back on social media after undergoing emergency brain tumor surgery. Her first post? A heartfelt birthday message to her daughter, Dove.
After weeks of silence following her health news, Teddi returned to Instagram to celebrate her little girl turning five. While she’s still recovering, she made sure to share a sweet tribute to her “miracle baby.”
Teddi shared a birthday slideshow for her “Baby Dovey”
The caption of Teddi’s February 25 post began, “Happy birthday to my miracle baby.” The Two Ts in a Pod co-host continued, “Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since you made our lives better and brighter.” Teddi and Edwin Arroyave welcomed Dove in 2020, after a struggle with fertility issues.
Dove has already proven she’s a fighter. At just five months old, she had surgery for lambdoid craniosynostosis, a rare skull condition.
Teddi’s recent health battle began when she started having severe headaches. Doctors discovered multiple brain tumors that had likely been growing for months. On February 12, she had surgery to remove two of them, with plans to tackle the rest through radiation.
Through it all, she’s had major support from friends and family. Edwin’s been by her side, giving updates on her condition. He shared that while the surgery was a success, recovery has been painful.
Her bestie Kyle Richards and singer Morgan Wade have also been there for her. The two were even spotted grabbing breakfast together after visiting Teddi, proving she’s got a strong support system.
Despite everything, Teddi is staying positive. “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she shared.
Right now, it seems Teddi’s focused on recovering and enjoying special moments, like celebrating Dove’s big day.
