Erika Jayne walked on to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills series in Season 6. She lived expensively in a 10,277-square-foot residence that saw fans’ eyes popping out of their sockets. Erika was also a burgeoning pop star, and her dance moves, outfits, and hairstyles equally attracted attention.
But Erika lost many viewers during Season 12. Her storyline centered around the legal dramas of her not-yet-ex-husband, Tom Girardi. He stole funds from the victims he represented, and once the viewers learned how his thefts benefitted Erika, their eyebrows started raising. Not helping her cause, an in-the-dark Erika seemed to care little, but as Erika explained, court dealings are serious, so her words needed to be few and far between.
Thankfully, Erika has turned a corner with most of the audience in Season 14. Her scenes are light, and her words are understanding, empathetic, and honest, even when challenging narratives are on the table. EJ is enjoying her best season yet, and fans are here for this version of Erika on RHOBH.
Erika Jayne is consistently lending Dorit Kemsely raw, honest truths during RHOBH Season 14
Dorit Kemsely and PK Kemsely are now separated. Dorit has never walked this path, and her hesitance to pull the plug scares Erika. So, Erika is now using her background knowledge to help speak hard truths to Dorit, stepping up as a true friend to her flailing costar this season.
While dining, Dorit began talking about her frustrations with PK. Erika listened, and then, she kindly but firmly laid things out for Dorit.
“I am sorry you are going through this. But I cannot sit here and bullshit with you when I know what is coming for you,” Erika began. Erika then told Dorit that she needed to protect herself, as the price she might pay if not could be high.
Erika challenged Dorit to look at PK differently, as PK is no longer her partner or friend. Instead, PK is her “adversary now,” and yes, “that is a f*cked up place to be,” Erika stressed. Even still, “that is where” Dorit now lives, so she needs to put on her big girl Beverly Beach bikinis and start making her exit plan before PK swoops in and does it for her.
“Please be proactive,” Erika demanded, frankly adding, “He doesn’t want you back.” Bozoma Saint John clocked her accurate take.

Not only is Dorit at odds with PK, but she is also at odds with Kyle Richards this season. These two ladies do not see anything eye-to-eye, even though they are experiencing similar timelines with their estranged husbands. Dorit is now gunning for Kyle, as she feels like Kyle has always been a one-sided friend. Kyle, however, seems to have no idea where her frustrations are coming from, but then again, Kyle is in contact with PK, so you would think Kyle would understand a little bit about how her actions might be…messy.
But you know who is not delivering us a messy storyline this season? Erika. As a friend of Kyle and Dorit, Erika is in an awful predicament. However, Erika has not misstepped once with her girlfriends.
Instead of adding fuel to their fires, Erika has treated each party fairly, listening to their qualms while offering supportive advice to her floundering besties. Even when prompted with a question that might typically cause a shady answer, Erika keeps things real but does not take the drama bait, as her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live proved.
When Andy Cohen asked Erika if she stood by Kyle or Dorit, Erika said both, as she did not wish to pick sides. Andy then asked Erika how she felt about Kyle texting PK, and Erika answered that it was “innocent but inappropriate” of Kyle. Time after time this season on RHOBH, Erika has dodged confrontation.

The OP led this thread by admitting that they are “loving [Erika] and her energy this season,” as Erika is “passing on some hard truths.” Additionally, “Moments like this on the show feel genuine,” like this cast had a “real sisterhood,” they noted.
Chiming in, a fan of this series agreed, adding, “Until everyone started hating her[,] she was regularly praised for clocking all the bullshit games these women play with each other.” Another viewer approved of this thread, calling Erika “the smartest one on the show. She’s quick-witted, can read the room, [she] understands entitlement and cultural issues from the pov of minorities, and [is] intelligent,” they stressed.
I agree, as Season 14 airs, Erika is all these things and more. She keeps serving fashion, friendships, and fierce advice, even when it is hard. Now, her efforts are paying off. Erika is enjoying what some feel is her best season yet, and I hope she continues to thrive on Bravo.
