On February 25, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills friend of the cast Jennifer Tilly appeared on Watch What Happens Live. She sat down with Andy Cohen to discuss the recent drama between castmates Dorit Kemsley and Jennifer’s BFF, Sutton Stracke.
At Jennifer’s Caviar and Kaftans luncheon, Sutton was fed up with Dorit’s constant comments suggesting Sutton had a problem with alcohol. She was “tired of it” and hit back with an oddly inappropriate comment of her own.
Jennifer Tilly shared her take
“I wasn’t going to let you perpetuate that myth,” Sutton snapped at Dorit. “You picked at me, and I’m sorry, you need to pick on somebody else whose wallet fits.”
Though the ladies at first missed her point, it eventually came out that Sutton was referring to the size of her bank account compared to Dorit’s. Yikes. That is most certainly true, but not very nice.
Consequently, Dorit and Sutton have not been getting along at all in Season 14. In addition to having a screaming fight in a Sprinter van, Dorit accused Sutton of stirring the pot. Sutton has also admitted to being no longer comfortable in Dorit’s home.
Andy asked Jennifer, “Do you think Sutton actually considers herself superior to Dorit because of the difference in their finances?”
“I do not,” Jennifer responded. “In fact, when she said it, there was a stricken look on her face, which might have been edited out because they wanted her to look like the bad guy.”
“It was a terrible thing to say, and she admitted it,” the Bride of Chucky star continued. Jennifer said Sutton actually considered giving Dorit her expensive bag as a gesture of apology.
RHOBH alum Crystal Kung Minkoff added, “I think she said in her confessional, she did regret it.”
Pointing out that those confessionals are filmed long after the fact, Jennifer added, “In the After Show, she doubled down, too. She was like, ‘I don’t care! She deserved it!’ … But in the moment, she was stricken. She was like, ‘I did not realize I was such a bad, bad, bad girl.”
