If there’s one thing to admire about Dorinda Medley, it’s the way she constantly reinvents herself. She lived a full life before becoming a star on The Real Housewives of New York, and after getting put on pause, she’s continued to push forward.
When she’s not on TV, Dorinda hosts a SiriusXM show. She sells her own bourbon, and now, she’s kicking off a new career as a DJ. With all of that on her plate, Dorinda was recently asked if she’d consider returning to RHONY, and her answer was a little surprising.
Once a Housewife, always a Housewife

Dorinda got put “on pause” after RHONY Season 12. At the time, she made it very clear that she wasn’t happy about the network’s decision. She cried her eyes out, and once the show got rebooted, that kind of squashed any hope of her returning to the show.
During a recent appearance on Two Ts in A Pod, hosts Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge asked about her thoughts on the departure now that several years have passed. She said she felt thankful that she’s been able to appear on other shows since her RHONY departure.
“The great thing about NBC is that they do revisit you,” Dorinda told her fellow Housewives.
“I’ve done a couple [Real Housewives] Ultimate Girls Trips. And I just did Traitors. And that’s enough now for me,” Dorinda said.
RHUGT is in the past, and she got murdered almost immediately on The Traitors. That leaves a little bit to be desired. So, would she pick up the phone if the RHONY producers called? If you asked her that question two years ago, she would have been chomping at the bit.
“Listen, I was just on the phone with someone that said, ‘If they asked you to go back to ‘New York,’ would you go back?’ And I said, ‘Sure why not,’” Dorinda admitted.
Although Bravo is looking to make some casting changes ahead of Season 16, don’t hold your breath waiting to see Dorinda hold an apple. Instead, she’s focused on launching a spinoff following the action at Blue Stone Manor. Keep your fingers crossed that it gets picked up.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
