When Denise Richards learned that her daughter, Sami Sheen, had started an OnlyFans account, she did what any other parent would do. She also started an OnlyFans account. Now, the mother and daughter are both pulling in the big bucks through the subscription-based site.
During a recent interview on Today With Jenna & Friends, Denise reflected on her decision to join the site. According to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, her main goal was to help take some of the heat off her daughter. We can assume the money also played a small part.
OnlyFans is the family business
Sami kicked off her OnlyFans career back in 2022. At the time, people were extremely judgemental and made it seem like she was just a step away from streetwalking. Even her dad Charlie Sheen said he didn’t condone it. However, Denise said that type of backlash felt all too familiar.
“I didn’t know what it was when she joined and, you know, I felt bad for her when she got a lot of backlash for being on there and being perceived a certain way, and a lot of judgment, which I can understand. I’ve been judged, we all have,” Denise explained.
Of course, Denise felt compelled to protect her daughter. She decided to make an OnlyFans account for herself. That gave people something else to focus on.
“I was just like, you know what, I’m going to just join it,” Denise recalled. “I know it sounds creepy.”
She continued, “I don’t go on her page, it’s not like that at all. I just more or less wanted to. It’s just something I thought I would do too because I felt like she got a lot of backlash.”
Meanwhile, Sami said in a separate interview that her mom could have “waited a bit” before following in her OnlyFans footsteps. Maybe she didn’t need protecting after all. Either way, expect to see more of their unique mother-daughter dynamic on their new show coming to Bravo.
