Report: Karen Huger Supposedly Planning Major Comeback After Serving DUI Sentence

It’s never too late to turn things around, and Karen Huger may be aiming to do just that. The Real Housewives of Potomac star was just sentenced to one year in jail for her DUI case. Karen had kept mum all season long regarding the night of her arrest and promised the truth would be revealed. But things obviously did not turn out how she had hoped. Still, the Grand Dame supposedly already has big plans in place for her future comeback.

Karen Huger allegedly wants to “turn her life around” and “serve as a role model”

During Season 9 of RHOP, Karen was able to keep the cast at bay regarding her arrest. Gizelle Bryant tried to poke around for answers, but Karen wouldn’t budge. The only ones who seemed to call her out consistently were Mia Thornton and her sidekick, Jacqueline Blake. But Karen stayed firm that there was nothing to worry about.

However, as Karen’s court date neared, she did everything she could to help her case. She skipped the reunion and went to rehab instead. Karen’s lawyers also revealed that she had been taking anti-depressants which can amplify the effects of alcohol.

But none of that seemed to lessen Karen’s sentence, and she was told to serve one year in jail. Now The Grande Dame is supposedly planning her comeback. A source told the Daily Mail all the details of Karen’s alleged plan.

The source said, “Everyone is shocked … But this doesn’t mean that she will not be welcome back ever by any means. She is determined to turn her life around and get clean to serve as a role model and if she does this and she is back on the right track, she could very well be welcomed back.”

This does track with Karen’s video message that was played during part one of the reunion. Karen had said she would come back just as “Karen” and not “The Grande Dame.” Which would be a major change for her.

The source added, “Everyone loves a success story, and the cast and crew have gotten to know the real Karen. This is just very unfortunate, and everyone is hoping for the best for her.”

Real Housewives of Potomac continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
