Who knew Craig Conover would be a man of many talents? When the Bravoleb first appeared on Southern Charm, he was young and suffering from Peter Pan syndrome. His partying ways seemed to define him for multiple seasons, but one day, he just snapped out of it. It was almost as if he had woken from a deep enchanted slumber. And now he is unstoppable. As Season 10 kicks off, Craig comes across as a Disney dreamboat. I find myself asking, “What can’t this guy do?”

Craig Conover can cook

Who knew after such a debacle with the BBQ that Craig would turn out to be the king of his domain, which in this case is the kitchen? During Southern Charm Season 5, Craig was adamant that he would help grill for Shep Rose’s birthday. It shouldn’t be hard to throw some burgers on the grill, but Craig was overwhelmed with the heavy-duty machine after being told to put both charcoal and woodchips in. Craig might have many talents, but he wasn’t the inventor of fire, as the element really stumped him. The “grill master” was eventually told the “lack of expertise is alarming.”

However, Craig has made up for not knowing he should flip ribs and is now all about business. He recently opened up to Forbes about what pans he loves to use in the kitchen. He shared, “I’m a big soup guy, so I think a great soup pot is a nice thing to have for the holiday season. I keep a set of All-Clad pots and pans at my house in Charleston for holiday hosting. I love making cheddar broccoli, chicken noodles, and vegetable beef soup.” Craig often takes to his Instagram to show off his cooking skills, which recently included a steak dinner. Hopefully, I can snag an invite to his next dinner party.

Craig Conover can sew

As a Southern Charm fan, I’ll never get over Naomie Olindo yelling at Craig while dressed in 60s attire, telling her boyfriend, “You need to wake up. You could do so much more than you already do. And you know that! You sit home, and you sew, and you pretend to do things.” Craig seemed fatally flawed at that moment, but he bounced back, asking, “What’s wrong with my sewing?” Before the argument, he dropped the ball after Patricia Altschul tried to order pillows from him. He was just starting out, but the fight and Naomie’s judgment seemed to be the catalyst for his career.

Shortly after their breakup, Craig was inspired to start his lifestyle brand, Sewing Down South, showcasing his passion for sewing. And now, he is laughing all the way to the bank. Craig once shared with Your Williamson, “I remembered how to make a pillow from a home economics class in seventh grade, so I started sewing old shirts into pillows. Everyone started messaging me, asking if I made them myself and if they could buy one,” he shares. “That’s when I realized I might be onto something.”

Craig Conover saves lives

I’m sorry, but Venita Aspen almost drowning after doing a cannonball into the pool caught me off guard. The influencer was more than capable of swimming, but upon entering the pool, she took on too much water. And couldn’t catch her breath. As she flailed around, the rest of the guests were under the impression that she was putting on some sort of SeaWorld experience. But Craig quickly figured out that she might just be drowning.

Craig wasted no time and jumped right in. He whisked his friend up toward the surface. And carried her to the safety of the edge. Clearly, he has worked as a lifeguard while growing up. Kudos to Craig for acting quickly and helping her. I love a man of action!

Craig Conover loves to garden

Since finally settling into his Charleston home, it has become apparent that Craig takes pride in his backyard, which includes stunning plants, flowers, and fruit. Craig has always had a green thumb. Viewers have watched in seasons past as he bragged about his herb and vegetable garden. Who could forget the fact that he had special gardening clogs just for the outside? Craig told Decider that his love of gardening started as a kid. He shared, “Fortunately, my parents were real supportive with whatever I’d do. They let me dig an 8×8 plot in our backyard in our sandy soil in Delaware and tried planting stuff.” Craig also has a hot tub, pool, and putting green that is open all year. I think it’s safe to say that Craig might be the prince of Southern Charm, thanks to his hobbies.

Southern Charm is available to stream on Peacock.
