The British tabloids are abuzz after a video came out of Maura Higgins kissing I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here co-star (and winner) Danny Jones. Onlookers took footage of the Love Island legend sharing a kiss with the rocker at an afterparty for the Brit Awards.
Afterwards, more pictures came out of Maura and Danny looking cozy at the event. Before the video came out, Danny was presumably still with his wife Georgia Horsley. The Sun broke the story, and posted a TikTok video of what appeared to be Danny Jones and Maura Higgins kissing at the Brits Awards afterparty. The kiss reportedly happened at about 3 a.m. A source told The Sun, “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.” The onlooker added, “They were talking and laughing for ages.”
The stars sat at different tables during the awards ceremony. But they met up at the Universal Music afterparty. Fellow partygoers claimed they spent about 90 minutes talking. “Danny appeared to be giving Maura advice and at one point he put his arm around her shoulder,” one source claimed. They added that the Love Island USA Aftersun host “laid her head on Danny’s shoulder as they talked with friends.”
After sharing a kiss, the two headed to Sony’s afterparty at around 4 a.m. “Danny and Maura were still grinning and joking about,” The Sun’s source claimed. “Inside the party, it appeared to be just the two of them.”
Who is Danny Jones and how did he meet Maura Higgins?
Danny and Maura met on I’m a Celeb 2024. Interestingly enough, both Maura and Danny were reportedly last minute replacements for Tommy Fury. Maura got seventh place, while Danny won the whole season. The afterparty onlooker told The Sun that “Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle.” Throughout the night, they met up with their I’m a Celeb 2024 co-star, Oti Mabuse.
The 38-year-old is best known as vocalist and lead guitarist of the band McFly. He was a coach on The Voice UK and The Voice Kids UK. In addition to winning I’m a Celeb, he also won The Masked Singer UK Season 5.
Danny married Georgia in 2014, and they share a son named Cooper. After news broke of his kiss with Maura, recent comments he made on a podcast resurfaced via The Daily Mail. Danny revealed that he and Georgia were moving into a new house at the same time as his I’m a Celeb appearance. The podcast hosts jokingly asked if he joined the show to avoid the stress of moving. Danny joked, “Do you know what? I left my wife to move. I just left my wife.” He continued, “I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.”
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail reported that Georgia released a new episode of her podcast the day after Danny and Maura’s kiss. The former Miss England spoke about her son and mentioned flying to Australia, where she visited Danny in the I’m a Celeb jungle. But she never mentioned her husband by name.
