In case you missed it, Phaedra Parks pretty much quit Married to Medicine in the most recent episode. She made herself pretty clear when she said she didn’t want to hang out with these “mean girls” anymore. The revelation left some of the cast bewildered, but newbie Dr. Mimi Sanders wasn’t surprised. Maybe it’s because she’s a psychiatrist, or maybe it’s because Phaedra’s exit was a long time coming.
Dr. Mimi Saunders has “much respect” for Phaedra Parks after her M2M exit

In Season 11, Dr. Mimi slowly got introduced to the M2M circle thanks to a friendship with the Lunceford family. She and her husband are still trying to find their footing in the group. But, it didn’t take long for them to realize that Phaedra had one foot out the door.
“I was not surprised of her exit,” Mimi said in an interview with Distractify, adding that she had “much respect” for Phaedra’s decision.
“I didn’t get enough chance, enough time, to really get to know Phaedra, but not surprised at her exit at all,” she continued.
Throughout this season, Phaedra received feedback from the ladies that she wasn’t opening up to the group. The final nail in the coffin came during the cast trip to Key West, which Mimi said she and her husband have nicknamed “Disaster Island.”
Phaedra accused the M2M cast of being a bunch of “mean girls” after Dr. Heavenly Kimes invited Apollo Nida on the trip. However, Mimi doesn’t see them in that same light.
“I have not had that experience,” she said of the M2M cast.
“Now, we’re human, and so of course, we’re going to we fall short,” Dr. Mimi continued. “And they probably have done some mean things, but I think that I just haven’t experienced that with the ladies, and I think that there is called for some more communication. But Phaedra has decided to leave, and so she’s, she’s done with it, so that’s her opinion.”
Married to Medicine airs new episodes on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
