Another day, another reduction in Jen Shah’s prison sentence. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star must be on her best behavior behind bars because she keeps getting time taken off of her stay. Originally, Jen’s release date was set for 2029. Now, she’s set to come home in 2026, and it just so happens to land on a very special day.
When does Jen Shah get out of prison?

Jen Shah will be released from prison on October 4, 2026. It’s another small reduction in her time to serve, after it was revealed last year she would be home before Thanksgiving 2026, with a November release date.
So, what’s so special about this release date? October 4 just so happens to be Jen’s birthday! She’ll turn 52 on the day of her release unless the feds decide to take even more time off of her sentence. All things considered, we think that’s some pretty Shahmazing news from the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate database.
While Jen awaits her release, she’s been staying busy behind bars. She quickly became buddies with Elizabeth Holmes, the “founder” of the failed blood testing company. Plus, she’s been receiving letters of support from Mob Wives star Renee Graziano. She’s got some good people in her corner.
Jen has also been staying in touch with the outside world, including one of her RHOSLC castmates. Last year, Meredith Marks revealed that she spoke to Jen on the phone. She said she felt “happy to hear her voice again.”
Meanwhile, Lisa Barlow has made several remarks seemingly blowing off the severity of Jen’s prison sentence. Most recently, she claimed that Season 5 newbie Bronwyn Newport was “probably worse” than Jen.
With that in mind, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more updates on Jen’s release date. At this rate, the Bravo cameras might be ready to pick up right where they left off.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is streaming on Peacock.
