The Oscars 2025 was a big night for Mikey Madison, who received her first Best Actress in a Leading Role trophy for “Anora.” During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor expressed her admiration for her fellow nominee, Demi Moore, who also gave a powerful performance in “The Substance.”
When asked whether she talked to any of her fellow nominees after winning the Oscar, Madison said, “Yes, I did. I saw Fernanda [Torres, of I’m Still Here] and we hugged.” The actor then revealed that she texted Demi Moore, whom she adores. She continued, “She’s one of the sweetest, kindest women I’ve ever met.” The actor further expressed, “I’m so grateful that I was able to meet her and witness her brilliance and talent in person.”
Mikey Madison also talked about how excited she was to witness Moore’s future journey in cinema. The actor explained, “I adore her and I can’t wait to see what she does next, what kind of characters she brings us. I think we’re all so ready and excited to see that.”
During the interview, she also talked about how she prepared for her character in “Anora”, who was a sex worker. Madison admitted that she “studied a lot,” adding, “I read memoirs, I talked to incredible consultants that were brought onto the film.” She even recalled meeting “so many amazing women that are part of this community,” which was “the reason that we were able to make the film.”
