Paris Jackson is defending her see-through black dress she wore for the Stella McCartney show during Paris Fashion Week. On Wednesday, the musician made a striking appearance at the fashion show, wearing a chic off-the-shoulder black dress that was almost completely sheer. She paired the outfit with minimal accessories and kept her hair in a loose fashion. While it made for a memorable appearance, the ensemble also drove a lot of criticism from netizens.
While addressing the flack on her Instagram Stories, Paris Jackson expressed that she couldn’t quite understand the noise around her see-through dress. As per Fox News, the singer stated, “I don’t really understand why the human body is a driving force for such discomfort in so many people. It’s just a body. It’s just a body on a human, which is an animal.”
Jackson further compared her situation to one where we normalize looking at naked animals all the time but don’t offer the same consideration for humans. She continued, “We’re just animals. Don’t get uncomfortable with our bodies. It’s your body. You’ve got one. I’ve got one. We’ve all got one. It’s OK. There’s nothing wrong with it.”
Reiterating her point about criticisms surrounding her PFW ensemble, Jackson advised that people focus on more important and pressing topics than trivial matters. Asking people to “stop freaking out about nipples,” she said, “We’ve got bigger fish to fry. Let’s do something for the environment, man. Let’s do something for the planet, man.”
Despite the flack, Paris Jackson is taking PFW by storm with her other breathtaking outfits.
